Athens Street; Donald Leon Edwards, 50, of Stanly Chris tian Road, Monroe, was arrested for loitering. •financial transaction card fraud on Mon roe Highway at Publix; a customer purchased gift cards using a fraudulent credit card. •traffic stop on May Street for a suspended registration; the driver, Marcos Rodriguez, 23, of 2nd Street, Winder, was arrested for driving while unlicensed, expired license plate and knowingly driving motor vehicle with a suspended, cancelled or revoked reg istration. •dispute on Glen Avenue; a female report ed her boyfriend “jumped on her" causing her eye and lip to swell and also grabbed her around the neck after accusing her of cheat ing on him. Ceddrick Demon Mercery, 23, of Norwood Court, Athens, was arrested and charged with battery. •theft report on Venture Way; complainant reported a male had stolen a pack of chicken legs our of her freezer. •theft on N. Broad Street; an employee of Family Dollar reported someone fraudulently representing themselves to be from the store headquarters requesting money be put onto an Amazon gift card. •traffic stop for a broken taillight on Mon roe Highway; Jeremy Kent Ramsey, 37, of Planter Gunnell Road, Hull, was arrested for driving on a suspended license and taillight violation. •traffic stop for speeding on Miles Patrick Road; Donna Shirlane Harvey, 41, of Syca more Drive, Athens, was arrested for driving while license suspended and speeding. •suspicious vehicle on May Street; officers observed three black males asleep in the drive-thru lane of Wendy’s. The driver was issued a citation for possession of marijuana. •traffic stop for headlight violation on May Street, Agustin Tovar, 23, of Bradford Park Drive, Auburn, was arrested for driving with out a license and headlight violation. •suspicious person on Overlook Drive; Christopher A. Presnell, 36, of City Pond Circle, Winder; was taken into custody on outstanding warrant charges. •domestic dispute on Scrooch Court; a female attempted to take a cell phone and keys from a male with the act escalating into a wrestling match. The female was deter mined to be the primary aggressor and was charged with simple battery/family violence and criminal trespass/family violence. •loitering complaint on W. May Street; the manager of a laundry service business report ed a male and female had been loitering in the business all day not doing any laundry. The male was taken into custody on out standing warrant charges and they were both informed not to return to the business. •domestic dispute on Harpy Eagle Drive; a male reported being struck in the face by his female girlfriend and requested a ride to a different location. The female was charged with battery/family violence. •suspicious vehicle at Victor Lord Park on 2nd Street; the driver was taken into custody and charged with giving false name, address or birthdate to a law enforcement officer. •report of small children left unattended in a vehicle on N. Broad Street; the driver was in the car when the officer arrived and taken into custody for an outstanding warrant charge. •report of a counterfeit bill received at McDonald’s on N. Broad Street. •theft by taking on Wood Avenue; com plainant reported cash being taken from a safe in his home. He provided a suspect in the theft. •damage to property on Monroe Highway; a car was reported damaged while parked at Los Vaqueros Restaurant. •warrant service on W. May Street; the driver was charged with posses sion of marijuana, possession and use of drug related objects and no tag light and an outstanding warrant from Gilmer County. A passenger in the vehicle was charged with possession of marijuana and possession and use of drug related objects. •traffic stop on N. Broad Street for an obscured tag validation sticker; the driver was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession and use of drug related objects and obscured license plate. •theft on Memory Lane; a construction worker reported the theft of copper from the AGAPA Hospice building. •fraud report on Finch Drive; complainant reported an application for a line of credit had been fraudulently opened in his name. •theft on Gordon Court; tools and lawn equipment were reported stolen from an outbuilding. •theft by taking on Williams Street; a pistol was reported missing. •assault on Williamson Street; a female reported her brother had tried to attack her and her boyfriend with a machete. •dispute on Lily Drive; a male reported his female roommate threw a bowl of hot soup at him. The female stated they were “just making out”. The male stated he intended to have “safe sex" by using a condom. The male was arrested for enticing a child for indecent purposes. •theft by taking on 2nd Street; a manager of the Dollar General reported an employee had taken money from the register. The other driver did not want law enforcement called and agreed to pay for the damages he caused.
