David Binnion
WINDER - David Adams
Binnion, 75, passed away
Monday, February 1, 2016, at
his residence.
A native of Texas, he was
the son of the late Hank and
Irma Adams Binnion. Mr.
Binnion had lived in Barrow
County since 2000, and was
a former resident of Monroe,
Ga., and Wichita Falls, Texas.
He was an engineer with Duck
Head Apparel. Mr. Binnion
had attended Calvary Baptist
Church at Carl.
Survivors include his wife,
Joyce Mote Binnion, Winder;
daughters, Dana Binnion and
Laura Binnion, both of Denton,
Texas; grandchildren, Marlow
Abrams, Lenexa, Kan., and

Deoshia Borders
Mrs. Borders was born to the
late Bozzanna and Inez Petter-
son Borders. Mae was one of
five children born to this union.
She attended Jackson County
public school system. She was
the owner and operator of Bor
ders Home for the elderly. Her
passion was caring for people,
which she did extremely well.
She was a wonderful mother,
grandmother, aunt, sister, and
friend to everyone. She was a
very spiritual person and was
a member of Saint Paul First
Baptist church. She possessed
a wonderful personality spirit,
and will be missed dearly.
Survivors include children,
James and Brenda Walker, Otis
and Megan Walker, Jacque
line Walker; sisters, Pristine
Borders, JoAnn Borders, and
Mable Borders; grandchildren

February 6, 2016.
He was a member of The
Church at Winder. Cecil retired
as a foreman with JI Case
Company after 37 years of ser
vice. He was a life member
and held various offices with
The North Georgia Chapter of
the Harley Owners Group in
Buford, Ga. He was preceded
in death by his parents, John T.
and Irene Norton Bryant; and
his wife, Martha Nelle Lewis
Bryant.
Survivors include a son,
Tony Bryant (Elizabeth),
Mobile, Ala.; two daughters,
Gail Frost, Bethlehem, and
Gina Libbin (Mike), Winder;
two brothers, Clifford Bryant

Perry Lynn Burgess

Burgess, 56,
went home
to be with
the Lord on
Tuesday,
February 2,
2016.
He was
the son of
the late
Catherine
and Jimmy Stowe and was
preceded in death by a son,
Jeremiah Dills.
Perry was called to preach
in 1992. Perry and his wife,
Angie, began a full time min
istry in 1998. He preached in
churches, jails, prisons and
drug rehabilitation centers,
preached in El Salvador in the
prisons, and ministered in the
orphanages He and his wife
had a homeless ministry, Walk
on Water, in Athens, for ten
years. He also ministered to
those at the Potter's House for
12 years. Perry began serving
as a pastor in 2004. He was
currently serving as the Pastor
of Walk on Water Church in
Jefferson. He served as chap
lain for the Commerce City
Police Department for two
years.
Survivors include his wife,
Angie Burgess; sons, Jesse and
Josiah; and three grandchil
dren, Reece, Tripp, and Cole.
Memorial services were held
Saturday, February 6, at Light
house World Outreach Center
in Monroe. Pastor Raymond
and Cindy Hardy and Dr. Rob
ert O’Neal officiated.

Evelyn Jones
Evelyn Allen Jones, died on
Thursday, February 4, 2016, at
Gwinnett Medical Center due
to complications from a fall.
She was born April 18, 1919,
the daughter of Early and Lucy
Allen. Mrs.
Jones was
preceded
in death by
her husband,
William
Bevel Jones;
and a sister,
Isla Allen
King.
Evelyn,
known to
many as “Ebbie”, has always
lived in Stone Mountain, Ga.
She was retired from the South
ern Railway, where she was
employed for over 30 years.
One of her many loves was
the Order of the Eastern Star,
where she has served faith
fully her whole life. She has
served in many stations in that
organization serving as Wor
thy Matron several times for
the Stone Mountain Chapter
205 Order of the Eastern Star.
She also was Grand Chaplin of
the Grand Order of the East
ern Star of Georgia. She par
ticipated diligently in all of
their activities. Ms. Jones had
many talents that she shared.
She was very accomplished in
artwork and crafts. She was
always working on projects for
the Eastern Star of Georgia and
the community. “Ebbie” was
also a renowned baker. The
town fought over her carrot
cake and her coconut cake, to
list just a few of her specialties.
Ms. Jones and her husband
loved to travel in their camp
er and visited all 50 states.
She loved her husband, son
and family, and was a lifetime
member of the Stone Mountain
First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son,
Michael D. Jones and daugh-
ter-in-law, Anne-Marie Jones;
one granddaughter, Micheline
Callicott; one great-grandson,
Theo Callicott; and many niec
es and nephews.

short battle
with cancer.
Ann was
a selfless
mom, grand
mother, sis
ter, aunt and friend. She was
special to so many because
of her deep love and caring
nature. She was full of joy
and laughter and gave the best
hugs. She loved life and lived
it to the fullest. She enjoyed
traveling, gardening, attend
ing the symphony and theater,
and watching her children and
grandchildren play sports and
perform in concerts and drama
productions.
Ann was born June 15, 1938,
in Nicholson, Ga., the daughter
of Wiley Monroe Tolbert and
Nellie Lucille Seagraves Tol
bert. She was the fourth of five
children. She retired from the
Duval County School Board in
2002 after more than 26 years
of service.
Survivors include her son,
Michael Bryan McGlam
ory; daughter, Sheryl Ann
McGlamory Sanderford; son-
in-law, Roy David Sander
ford; grandsons, Daniel Bryan
McGlamory Sanderford and
Kevin Michael Sanderford;

Born in Crouse, N.C., she
was the daughter of the late
George Morris Reynolds and
Devera Crump Reynolds. Mrs.
Strickland was a member of
Word of Life Church, and she
enjoyed reading her Bible.
Most importantly, she loved
her family and her grandchil
dren. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Hokey
Gene Strickland; one son, Tim
othy Lee Strickland; and one
sister, Estelle Reinahardt.
