foes this season and will begin Region play this
week against Heritage High School.

Diamond Doggs prepare for region slate

The Winder-Barrow
High School baseball team
was 3-2 going into this
week.
The Diamond Doggs
have recorded non-region
wins against Peachtree
Ridge (3-2), Lakeside (10-
2) and Walnut Grove (10-6)
while falling to non-region
foes Greenbrier (5-0) and
Madison County (15-5).
The Diamond Doggs are
scheduled to begin play
in Region 8-AAAAA this
week with a pair of games
against Heritage High
School. WBHS is sched
uled to play at Heritage
in Conyers Wednesday
(today) before meeting the
team in a home rematch
Friday. Both games are set
to begin at 5:55 p.m.
Coach Brian Smith's
team will then briefly step
out of region play March
10 for a home game against
Peachtree Ridge before
returning to region battle
against Cedar Shoals on
March 11 and March 14.
After the March 10 game
with Peachtree Ridge, all
remaining games on the
regular season schedule are
region contests.
