SIXTH GRADERS TO
FLORIDA - Our 6th graders
have been in St. Augustine, Flor
ida this week on their annual
class trip. This year’s class vis
ited the famous Castillo de San
Marcos, the oldest masonry fort
in the continental United States.
This fort, built by the Spanish
in the 1670’s, changed hands 6
times before being reclaimed by
the United States government
following the Civil War.
Our 6th graders also visited
the Old Jail, the Fountain of
Youth, and the Museum of Avi
ation. They wrapped up their
trip on Thursday with a visit to
the Kennedy Space Center.
Thanks to all those who
helped make this trip a great
and memorable experience for
our kids.
