He was a 2015 graduate of Jackson County Comprehen sive High School and was enrolled in the Year Up pro gram studying information technology. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Michelle Cleveland and Tra vis Joyce, Alpharetta; his father, Eric Cleveland, Hull; brothers, Nicholas and Rus- ton; and a sister, Natalie. Mr. Fowler was born in Ocala, Fla., and lived in Atlanta most of his life. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He did floor covering for 33 years. Survivors include three children, Chasity Wiley and Richard, Danielsville, Nick Fowler, Atlanta, and Jamie Fowler, Loganville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Daniel Chester Hall Sr., 93, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016. Reverend Hall was born in Chilhowie, Va., the son of the late Vernon S m y t h e Hall and Dinah Mae Blevins Hall. Rev erend Hall was a life long South ern Baptist Minister serving in Virginia, Tennessee, and in the Georgia communi ties of Ohoopee, Buckhead, Cochran, Washington, Carl ton, Avery, and Camak. Rev erend Hall graduated from and was valedictorian of his class at the Clear Creek Bible College in Pineville, Ky., later he attended Brew- ton-Parker College, and was a member of the Pender grass Baptist Church for the last nine years. Rev. Hall was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Elizabeth Sherrill Tilson Hall; infant daughters, Norma Jean Hall and Judy Grey Hall; one brother; one sister; one half- brother; and three half-sis ters. Survivors include his chil dren, Daniel C. “Dan” Hall Jr. and his wife Ali, Gaines ville, Joy Hall Hancock, Jef ferson, and Alan Hall and his wife Karen, Lexington, S.C.; brothers, Edwin Mitchell "Mickey” Hall and Jerry Lee Hall, both of Marion, Va.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was a member of Cor nerstone Christian Church. Tony was the owner-operator of Eagle Utility Contract ing for 26 years. He had a big heart and loved people. Tony had a way of find ing the best in anybody or anything, like finding the one talent in a person no one else could see, or bring ing an old car or motorcycle back to life for others to enjoy for many more years. Tony loved to make people happy and enjoyed having events and barbecuing for family and friends. He was preceded in death by his par ents, Ben and Marion Porter Highfield; three brothers, Bobby, Harold, and Marvin Highfield; and two sisters, Betty Nell Perdue and Janice Highfield. She was born September 27, 1943, in Gaston County, the daughter of William Eugene “Gene” Brown and the late Anne Huffo Brown. She was pre ceded in death by her hus bands, John Richard Kaylor III after 40 years of mar riage, and Earl Hudspeth after eight years of marriage. She was a member of Jack- son County Baptist Church in Jefferson and attended Flint Grove Baptist Church in Gastonia. She retired from a career in health care after 30 years of service. Mrs. Hudspeth enjoyed spending time with her family, travel ing, shopping, and caring for animals on the farm. Survivors in addition to her father, include her lov ing son and daughter-in-law, John Richard Kaylor IV and wife, Pelar, Jefferson; sis ter, Elaine B. (081) Danny Nix AUBURN - Danny Gene Nix, 65, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Born and raised in Arcade, he was the son of the late Joe Nix and Martha Williams Nix. Danny was a graduate of Jeffer son High School, where he wrestled and was on the track team. He joined the United States Army on November 25, 1968, where he served in the Vietnam War before being honorably discharged on November 8, 1971. Danny loved music, but most importantly, he loved his family. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanette Aaron, Eth ylene Duncan, and Joyce Mize; and four brothers, Bobby Nix, Ralph Nix, Ken neth Nix, and Willie Nix. Survivors include one daughter, Dawn Nix Bates and her husband, Byron; one son, Danny Nix Jr. and his wife, Carla; one sister, Evelyn Hooper; six grand children, Ariel Boswell and her husband, Chad, Kyle Bates, Jared Bates, Dawson Bates, Kaydee Wyatt, and Riley Nix; and two great grandchildren, Paisley Mae Boswell and Hoyt Boswell. Robison, III, 80, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016. He was born in Quantico, Va. on December 12, 1935, the son of the late William H. Robison, Jr. (Robby) and Sadie Mae Bentley Robison. He was married to Eleanor Hale Robison on June 16, 1957, and was preceded in death by her on January 22, 2009. He was also preceded in death by an infant grand son, Samuel Tribble Hale Robison. Survivors include a son, William H. Robison, IV, (Robbie), and his wife Leigh; a daughter, Sheilah Robison Shealy; grandsons, William H. Robison, V, (Quinn), Ian Tribble Robison (Tribb) and his wife Teresa, all of Rome, and Morgan Hale Shealy, Marietta; sisters, Betsy Bork and her husband, Curt, Can ton, and Melissa Donald son, and her husband, Don, Thomasville. Dr. Robison graduated as valedictorian of Winder Bar- row High School. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he earned a bachelor’s, mas ter's, specialist, and doctor ate degrees in music educa tion. He previously served as band director for Clarke County Schools, assis tant professor of music at Georgia College, supervisor of music for Bibb County Schools, as well as instruc tor for the Governor’s Hon ors Program. He then was professor of music at Berry College from 1972 until his retirement in 1999. He served as president of Geor gia Music Educators Asso ciation from 1975-1977, and served on the board for more than 30 years. He was hon ored for distinguished ser vice to music education by GMEA. He has been named to Outstanding Educators of America, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, and International Who’s Who in Music. A life member of Phi Mu Alpha, Dr. Robi son started the Berry Col lege chapter in 1974 and served as its advisor for 20 years. Other professional organizations to which he belonged included Phi Beta Mu, Pi Kappa Lamda, Phi Eta Sigma, Kappa Pi Kappa, Music Educators National Conference, the National Band Association, the Inter national Trumpet Guild, National Association of Jazz Educators, and the College Band Directors Association. Dr. Robison was a mem ber of the Rome Symphony Orchestra for 28 years. He also played in the Clock- tower Jazz Ensemble, Apple- scraps Jazz Quintet, Roman Festival Brass, and North west Georgia Winds. He was an elder, trustee, choir member, and former Chairman of the Board of First Christian Church. A memorial service was held Saturday, March 5, at First Christian Church in Rome, with the the Revs. Horace Stewart and Craig MacDonald officiating. Interment was at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder. March 9, 2016. Peter Wedel HOSCHTON Peter James Wedel, 62, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at his residence fol lowing a long battle with brain cancer. Mr. Wedel was born in Memphis, Tenn. on Septem ber 17, 1953. He attended grade school and middle school in Bristol, Tenn. He attended Castle Heights Military School in Leba non, Tenn. and gradu ated with a Bachelors of Science Degree from East Tennessee State Uni versity in 1975. Mr. Wedel was self employed, L&D Associates as a manu facturer's representative. He and his wife of 30 years of marriage, traveled the world scuba diving togeth er, which was one of his passionate hobbies. They traveled to Bali, Bonaire, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Cozumel, Curacao, Destin, Florida Keys, LaPaz, Palau, Thailand, and Indonesia. A highlight of one of their trips to Malaysia was a hike to Lowe’s Peak the Summit of Mount Kinabalu, 13,438 feet. He also enjoyed play ing golf and played at many venues and had the oppor tunity to attend the practice rounds of the Augusta Mas ter’s. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter John Wedel, who passed away in 2003. Survivors include his wife, Joan Wedel, Hoschton; mother, Vergie Wedel, Bris tol, Tenn.; son, Ronald For- key and fiance Kim Moss, Villa Rica; daughter, Tara Golden and husband Roy, Whitesburg; granddaugh ter, Amber Newman, Villa Rica; brother, Mark Wedel and wife Cheryl; sister, Sheri Wedel; aunt Linda Thomp son and husband Brad; niec es, Erica Little and Sally Wedel, all of Bristol, Tenn.; and nephew, Brandon Elli son, Knoxville, Tenn. Mr. Whitlock was born November 18, 1924, in Talmo, the son of the late J.J. and Lillie Covington Whitlock. He was a member of Blacks Creek Baptist Church, where he served as church trea surer, senior adult men's Sunday school teacher, and chairman of the dea con body. He was a 1944 graduate of Maysville High School. Mr. Whitlock was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and retired from Georgia Depart ment of Administrative Ser vices as a radio technician. Mr. Whitlock was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Hix Whitlock.
