Broad Street: the hood of a vehicle received damage while parked at Barrow Regional Medical Center. •traffic stop for a revoked registra tion on N. Broad Street; the driver was issued a citation for no insur ance and possession of marijuana and given a verbal warning for a revoked tag and an open container. •harassing phone calls on Williams Court; a female reported receiving numerous calls from an unknown number that was threatening to beat her up if she doesn’t move. •traffic stop for speeding 39 miles per hour in a 15 mph zone on Fort Yargo Road; the driver was arrested for driving while unlicensed. •theft by taking on Grier Road; a male reported loaning his vehicle to another male that was refusing to return it to him. •traffic stop for a suspended license on S. Broad Street; the female driver was taken into custody. •theft on Hosch Circle; a fuel tank and line were reported missing. •traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign on Fairview Avenue; the driver was arrested for driving while unlicensed and failure to stop at a stop sign. A 19-year-old passenger was charged with underage posses sion of alcohol and an open container violation and two other male pas sengers were charged with an open container violation. •suspicious male on Marion Lay Street; after questioning the subject, the officer took him into custody and charged him with public intoxication. •traffic stop for speeding 73 mph in a 45 mph zone on S. Broad Street; the driver was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), speeding and reckless driving. •traffic stop for a headlight vio lation on Martin Luther King, Jr. Street; the driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, drug-related objects, open contain er and a headlight violation. Two male passengers in the vehicle were charged with possession of metham phetamine, drug-related objects and open container violation. •traffic stop for a headlight viola tion on E. Wright Street; the driver was issued a citation for operating an unsafe vehicle and the vehicle was towed. •traffic stop for reckless driving on E. Midland Avenue; the male driver was charged with DUI. failure to obey traffic control device and improper stopping on roadway. •damage to vehicle on McNeal Road; complainant reported hitting something in the roadway, causing her tire to go flat. •disturbance on Second Street; a female threatened a male with a knife and was charged with aggravated assault. •traffic stop for speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone on E. Midland Avenue; the driver was charged with driving on a suspended license and speeding. •motor vehicle theft on W. May Street; Enterprise Rental reported a customer had failed to return a rented vehicle. •shoplifting at The Bottle Shop on W. May Street; a female was charged with concealing a bottle of Vodka in her purse. •burglary on Caddy Lane; money was reported missing from the office at Chimney’s Golf Course. •burglary on Spradley Place; a ste reo was reported missing from a residence. •entering automobile on Rocky Point Court. •assault on Brad Akins Drive; a female reported her ex-mother-in-law hit her in the back of her head and pulled her hair while at the YMCA. The ex-mother-in-law admitted to being mad about the complainant putting her finger in her face and confirmed that she did pull her hair. She was charged with simple battery. •attempted burglary on N. Cen ter Street; complainant reported two black males attempted to enter her door and then ran from the scene when they saw her. •harassment report on N. Broad Street; complainant reported being harassed at work by her estranged husband. •forgery on W. May Street; a report was made regarding an individual that was forging another person’s name when picking up medication at CVS Pharmacy. •theft by taking on N. Broad Street; a business owner reported two checks missing from his checkbook. •traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign on Northridge Drive; the driver was cited for driving on a sus pended license and failure to stop at a stop sign. •traffic stop for an expired regis tration on W. May Street; the driver was issued a citation for expired reg istration and a passenger was issued a citation for open container violation. The vehicle was towed. •theft on S. Broad Street; com plainant reported leaving a walker outside of a building and when she returned it was missing. •theft on Baskins Circle; a pill bot tle was reported missing. •damage to property on Marion Lay Street; a small hole was discov ered in a window that appeared to have been shot with a BB gun. •missing property on Lumpkin Street; a tag was reported missing from a vehicle. •suspicious person on W. May Street; a male was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant charge. •domestic dispute on Cooper Cir cle; a male accused a female of “cheating” and the dispute became physical when the female hit the male and the male grabbed the phone from her to prevent her from calling 911. •domestic dispute on E. Fifth Ave nue; a male was taken into custody for battery and cruelty to children. •damage to property on Elks Street; a mailbox was reported damaged. •theft by taking on Sims Road; complainant reported jewelry and medications missing from the resi dence. •burglary on W. Midland Ave nue; two unidentified white males are shown on a surveillance camera entering Russell Middle School. Statham Police reports continued from6A OTHER ARRESTS Other arrests reported by SPD include: •Eriselda Carrillo, 38, of Windfire Road, Norcross; driving while unlicensed, improper lane change and following too closely. •George Lee Appleby. 21, of Benning Street, Athens; failure to maintain lane, driving under the influence of drugs (DUI/drugs), possession of marijuana and improper stopping/parking on roadway. •Luis Olvera. 35. of Grand Central Drive, Snellville; improper lane change, driving without a license, giving a false name and date of birth to a law enforcement offi cer, possession of a fraudulent license and child restraint violation. •Angela Yvette Allen, 27, of Tall Oaks, Monroe; driv ing on a suspended license and speeding. •Tabitha Ann Green, 31, of Highway 211 NE. Winder; DUI/drugs/endangerment of a child under 14 years of age and speeding. •William Damarcus Howard, 28. of Peters Street. Statham; reckless driving and fleeing/attempting to elude police. OTHER INCIDENTS The SPD also responded to the following incidents: •traffic stop for speeding 65 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone on Atlanta Highway. The driver was cited for speeding and reckless driving. •traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign on Broad Street; the driver returned as driving on a suspended license and an outstanding warrant from Oconee Coun ty. A med unit was requested and due to the driver hav ing extremely high blood pressure, he was transported to an area hospital and issued citations on the violations. •road rage report on Commercial Drive; the drivers gave conflicting stories about the incident and one cita tions for aggressive driving was issued. •burglary on Rachael Drive; a locksmith discovered a house on the market for sale had been entered and damaged. •damage to vehicle on 8th Street; complainant report ed hearing a noise and when se went outside to check on it, she discovered damage to the driver’s side door and the left front fender of her vehicle. WPD Arrests continued from 7A •William Matthew Norman, 39, of King Street, Winder; possession of marijuana, parole violation, false imprison ment and aggravated assault. •Chandlor Anthony Muphy, 25, of Alexander Court, Winder; disorderly conduct. •William Kevin Jones, 25, of Mount Olive Road, Com merce; possession of marijuana. •Eric Lebron Harvey, 43, of Plantation Drive, Winder; driving while license suspended or revoked.
