The program will take place at Miracle Deliver ance Church at 49 North Jackson Street, Winder. Everyone is invited to attend. Brunch will be served. Pastor Carol Pat man will be presiding. Eastside Baptist Church will have Vaca tion Bible School June 27-30 from 6:30 to 8:30 each evening. There will be music, snacks, recre ation, crafts and Bible study. WFUMC welcomes Haney as new pastor Winder First United Meth odist Church welcomes new pastor, the Rev. Calvin Haney. Rev. Haney has been a pastor since 1978 and was previously at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Gaines ville. He is a graduate of Huntingdon College and Emory University, Candler School of Theology where he received his Masters of Divinity in 1981. He has served on various conference and district committees within the United Methodist Church. A welcome reception for Rev. Haney is planned for Sunday, June 26, immediately following the late worship service in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to come extend a welcome and enjoy light refreshments. REV. HANEY Miracle Deliverance Holiness Church, in conjunction with Winder Community Food Bank, is now giving out food every Thursday to those in need from noon until 2 p.m. inside the church. “In order to receive a food box you must bring ID, Social Security cards for all household mem bers and a current bill with your name on it,” organizers said. She was aban doned but has turned out to be some one else’s treasure. She will make you a great pet and is a very happy puppy. LUCKY GOLDIE This Lab/Retriever mix is golden from the tip of her nose to the nails on her toes. She gets along well with other animals and is ready to play. She will make a great addition to your family. DEX This beautiful male Pointer mix is four years old and weighs 65 pounds. He is a delightful dog and very devot ed and sweet. He has not had much exposure to children and may not be ideal for families with young children. SUZI This sweetheart is a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly with some attention. She is a Sheepdog/Terrier mix and is one to two years old. She will be easy to train as she learns quickly. HENRY A male Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix this good natured boy weighs 11 pounds. He is ready for someone to show him some love and spoil him. FEBE A female Coonhound mix, this lov ing girl is approximately five years old. She has great house manners and does well with everybody. Her demeanor with cats is not known. She is deserving of a forever home. TEDDY BOY He is a Lhasa/Poodle mix and has a loving personality. He gets along with other dogs and has a gently nature that should make him fine with children. He is ready for a forever home. TWILIGHT She is a bundle of energy and joy. This happy-go-lucky girl is a Lab/Retriever mix and is just six months old. She is crate trained and housebroken. She loves to play all day and will make you a great companion.
