ABC Mouse now offered at Piedmont Regional Library System
The Piedmont Regional
Library System is now offering
ABC Mouse for Libraries in all
10 libraries in Banks, Barrow
and Jackson counties.
Winner of numerous awards
from national education, parent,
and media organizations, ABC
Mouse offers a expert-designed
curriculum for preschool, pre-k,
kindergarten, and beyond.
With more than 5,000 individ
ual learning activities, 650 les
sons, and more than 300 online
books, ABC Mouse encompass
es reading and language arts,
math, science, social studies,
art, and music, to help children
build a strong foundation for
academic success.
“Age of Learning is com
mitted to helping every child
learn, and our latest Education
Access Initiative—ABCmouse.
com for Libraries—is a major
step in that effort,” said Zachary
Katz, Senior vice president of
Corporate Development at Age
of Learning. “For the millions
of families without a computer
or broadband Internet at home,
the local public library may be
the only place they can access
online learning resources like
ABCmouse.com."
ABCmouse.com for Librar
ies offers a safe, Children’s
Online Privacy Protection Act
(COPPA)-compliant, 100 per
cent educational environment
for children, with no advertising
or links to external websites.
Parents can create a personal
account at the library to enable
their children to customize their
experiences and save their prog
ress on the ABCmouse.com

Street; a man attacked his
wife during an argument
concerning her family and
was charged with aggravated
assault/family violence, false
imprisonment and criminal
trespass.

Center Street; due to traffic
being blocked, the vehicle
was towed.

reported being in a custody
battle with her children’s
father and suspects he may
have someone putting her
under surveillance.
•shoplifting at Walmart
on Atlanta Highway, Wind
er; a black male fled from
the store after attempting to
leave with a shopping cart
of unpaid items.
•vehicle fire on Hillside
Court, Winder.
•theft on Pinecrest Road,
Auburn; complainant
reported his debit card had
been stolen and used with
out his consent.
•hit and run on Plaza
Drive, Winder; a vehicle
was struck while parked at
Farmer’s Furniture.
•burglary on Oxford
Ridge, Winder; televisions
were reported missing from
a residence.
•fraud on Stoney Creek
Drive, Winder; com
plainant’s personal informa
tion had been used without
his consent on a Verizon
Wireless account.
•damage to property on
Stanton Way, Winder; a
driver reported running over
debris in the road, causing
damage to their vehicle.
•traffic stop for reckless
driving on Loganville High
way, Bethlehem; the driv
er was taken into custody
for failure to obey officer
directing traffic and fleeing
and attempting to elude a
police officer.
•harassment on Gable
Court, Winder; a male
reported his brother’s
ex-girlfriend was harassing
him by text in regards to his
brother.
•damage to property on
Midland Avenue, Winder;
complainant reported hear
ing a noise on his roof and
discovering a bullet on his
bed.
