Obituaries
ippines. They lived there for approximately six
months before moving to the Dominican Republic,
and then on to California, U.S.A.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac
Solomon Miller; and his mother, Svetlana Novack
Miller.
He is survived by his sisters, Victoria Faktor-
ovich (Arkady), Dolly Ramot (Ami) and Gina
Sharp (Roger); along with numerous nieces and
nephews. He is also survived by his children, Tim
Miller (Robin), Jeanne Hamilton, Tony Miller,
Dale Miller (Donna) and Tommy Miller; seven
grandchildren, Justin, Kiera, Alyssa, Sam, Aubrey,
Jessikah and Sydney; andone great-grandson, Levi.
George enlisted into the U.S. Army as a sharp
shooter and also toured Vietnam. He was based at
Presidio Army Base in San Francisco before be
ing based in Frankfurt Germany. After his service,
he stayed a short time in Minneapolis, Minnesota,
before moving back to California. Later on in his
life, George moved for a short time to Maryland,
and then on to Florida. When his health started to
decline, he moved closer to his family in Georgia.
A service will be held at the Georgia National
Cemetery in Canton, Ga.
The family would like to thank Smith Memory
Chapel, Winder, Ga., for the funeral preparations.

Page was retired from
Norcross Tag. In addi
tion to her parents, Mrs.
Page is preceded by
her husband, Reverend
Winford Franklin Page;
son, Jarrell Page; and
step-daughter, Lois Roach.
Survivors include sons, Thomas Page (Renee),
Pendergrass, Terry Page (Kay), Commerce, Mi
chael Page (Beth), Watkinsville, Tim Page, Pen
dergrass, and Kevin Page (Lisa), Commerce; 14
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren also
survive.
Funeral service: Monday, November 14,2022, at
11 a.m. from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home
with Mrs. Page’s sons, Terry and Kevin Page, offi
ciating with burial to follow in Sugar Hill Baptist
Church Cemetery, 3250 Athens Highway, Gaines
ville, Georgia. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers
are Matthew Pope, Jason Higgins, Raymond, Phil
lip, Jamie, Jacob, Stephen, Lee and Noah Page.

Kailey Josephine Parsaud
WINDER — Kailey Josephine Parsaud, 16,
Winder, passed away on Wednesday, November 9,
2022.
Miss Parsaud was bom
on February 9, 2006, in
Austell, a daughter of
Antonio and Kira Ann
Parsaud. Miss Parsaud
loved to draw, played
guitar, enjoyed music
and attended Wind
er-Barrow High School.
Survivors include her
parents, Antonio and
Kira Parsaud; brother,
Taylor Parsaud; sister,
Aurora Parsaud, all of Winder; grandparents, Joe
and Beth Bush, Monroe, Jerry (Lucy) Parsaud,
Mableton, and Amanda Maldonado, Tennessee;
aunt, Nicole (Dustin) Peace; uncles, Andrew (Ar-
gelia) Persaud and Christian (Yury) Parsaud; she
loved her cousins, family members and friends
who also survive her.

James Talmadge Payne
James Talmadge Payne, 88, passed away on
Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
James was the son
of the late Talmadge
and Mary Weather
ly Payne. James was
preceded in death by
his wife, Lyndal Sims
Payne; a daughter, Re
becca Lynn Payne; and sister, Jane Payne Myers.
James was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22
years, U.S. Postal Service after 20 years, and was
a beef cattle farmer until the day of his passing.
Survivors include his children, Donna Payne
and James Michael Payne (Robin R. Patterson
Payne); brothers, Jerry Payne, John Payne and
Jack (Patricia) Payne; sisters, Joyce (Needham)
Payne Bateman, and Joann (Tommy) Payne
Downs; grandchildren, Keith (Christina) Payne
and Lisa (Tommy) Gleason; and great-grandchild,
Madison Payne.
Funeral service: Saturday, November 19, 2022,
at 2 p.m. in the Smith Memory Chapel with full
military honors. Burial will follow at Barrow Me
morial Gardens.

Eva Mae Scott
Eva Mae Scott, 83, died Sunday, November 6,
2022 peacefully at her home with her daughter by
her side.
She was bom August
4, 1939, in Johnstown,
Penn., to Mara Belle
Webster and Charles
Henry Wills.
She is preceded in
death by her parents;
three brothers, Wilbur,
Robert and Charles;
her son, George Thom
as Dombrowski; her
husband, Dennis Scott;
her son-in-law, Thom
as Huber; and the father of her children, Joseph
Dombrowski.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Pryor
(Jarratt), Mara Greenawalt (Larry), Bonnie Reed
(Brian) and Theresa Griffis; three sisters, Mary,
Minnie and Janet; special first cousin, Jo Ann
Coover; best friend, Diane Bandrowsky; 13 grand
children; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was an amazing mother and friend. She
loved her children and made sure they knew she
loved them. Eva went to nursing school while rais
ing five children and graduated with honors. She
was proud to be a nurse and loved the profession.
She is best known for her fiery spirit and not being
afraid to speak her mind. Everyone that knew her
loved her spirit and wit. She loved watching sports
and especially cheering on her Pittsburgh Steelers.
She was a member of Bethlehem First Unit
ed Methodist Church which she loved attending
when she was able.
Funeral service: Monday, November 14, 2022,
at 11 a.m with the Rev. Frank E. Bemat Jr. officiat
ing. An informal visitation with family and friends
will be held in the sanctuary after the service.
Her wishes were to be cremated and her ashes
be placed at her son’s gravesite in Osceola Mills,
Penn. This wish will be honored at a family grave
side service on Monday, November 21, 2022 at
11 a.m. at Umbria Cemetery with the Rev. Robert
Ford officiating.
The family requests any memorials to Mrs. Eva
Scott be made to her church, Bethlehem First
UMC, 709 Christmas Ave, Bethlehem, Ga. 30620.

Jerral Benjiman "Ben” Westmoreland
Jerral Benjiman “Ben” Westmoreland passed
away on December 22, 2021.
He was bom June 29,
1931, in Commerce, and
lived out his retirement
years in Enterprise, Al
abama.
Ben will always be
missed and loved, and
his memory will be car
ried on for many years
to come.
A small family me
morial was held at the
family home during the
summer.
