Junior is survived by his wife of 24 year's, Rebecca;
children, Hali McCartt and Grace McCartt; grand
children, Makenzie McCartt, Zoey Whitehead, Olivia
Whitehead, Phoenix Hemy and Kali Hemy; brother,
Travis McCartt; sister, Sheny McCartt; and mother,
Dora McCartt.
In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to
assist with the medical costs.

Charles Reginal "Reggie” Phillips
Charles Reginal “Reggie” Phillips, 85, died on
Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
Born on September 12,
1937, in Madison County,
Reggie was the son of the
late Dupree and Lutrelle
Phillips and brother to the
late Sue Phillips and Jerry
Phillips.
He was a member of
Meadow Baptist Church
and retired from Dixie Cap
Rubber Company after 30
year's.
Survivors include his
son and daughter in law,
Michael and Sandy Phillips, Bogart; brother, Ellis Phil
lips; grandchildren, Alex and Ben Phillips; nephews,
Tim, Lance and Landon Phillips; and niece, Gretchen
Guest.
Funeral service: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at
3 p.m. at Lord and Stephens West Chapel with the Rev.
Glenn Guest officiating. Interment will follow at Mead
ow Cemetery.

Fredrick M. Snailum
DANIELSVILLE — Lredrick M. Snailum, 74, Dan-
ielsville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, No
vember 22,2022.
Mr. Snailum was born
on October 30, 1949, in
Yuma, Arizona. He is pre
ceded in death by his son,
Chris; daughter, Mary-
beth; father, Bill; step-fa
ther, Erine; mother, Helen;
brother, Greg Snailum;
sister, Gail Nicora; and
grandparents, Maynard
and Mary Wheeler and
William Sr. and Ruby
Snailum.
He served in the U.S.
Army stationed in Germany and was ranked as E5.
During that time he received a Good Conduct Medal,
Marksman Rifle and Hand Grenade, along with a Pistol.
After an Honorable Discharge, he attended Athens
Tech becoming a machinist. Later in life, he decided to
become an over the road truck driver. He was an avid
Dodgers baseball fan, but really enjoyed any sport as
long as it came with great food and company. His grand
and great-grandchildren were the loves of his life. He
definitely was one of a kind that never met a stranger
and who will be missed dearly by many.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Snailum, Daniels-
ville; daughter, Melissa and Cory, Danielsville; grand
children, Alexis, Brody, Bryson, Lauren, Kelsie and
Harper; great-grandchildren, Kimber and Cora, all of
Madison County; brother, John and Lynn Snailum; sis
ter, Cherie and Bob Nicora; and niece and nephew, Ka
tie and Johnathan Nicora, California.
We as a family would like to give a special thank you
to the Madison County EMS, Sheriff’s Dept., Coroner
Julie Phillips, and Lord and Stephens, all of Daniels
ville, for all of the heartfelt words that were given to all
of us the day of Lred’s passing.

Rose Inez Spears
MAYS VILLE — Rose Inez Spear's, 81, Maysville,
entered rest Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Mrs. Spear's was born in Talladega, Alabama, the
daughter of the late Hemy Wilbur Johnson and the late
Nellie Dennie Johnson. Mrs. Spear's was a retired chef
with Chateau Elan Resort. In addition to her parents,
Mrs. Spear's is preceded by her husband, Wayne Dole.
Survivors include daughters, Vanessa Guillory, Tex
as, and Karen Phillips, Maysville; sons, Bobby Phillips,
Jefferson, Daniel Phillips (Romona), Cleveland, and
Anthony Phillips (Tracy), Jefferson; 21 grandchildren;
30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchil
dren.

Eloise Christine "Weezy” Parson Wade
HOMER — Eloise Christine “Weezy” Parson Wade,
89, Homer, passed away on Sunday, November 20,
2022.
Born on May 17, 1933,
in Maysville, she was a
daughter of the late Ervin
Carter Parson and Min
nie Magnolia Powell Par
son. Mrs. Wade graduated
from Banks County High
School. Over the years,
she was employed by the
following: Baker and Tay
lor in Commerce, where
she retired after 20 year's;
the hosiery mill in Gaines
ville; the Golden Pantry in
Homer; and Banks County High School where she re
tired from nutrition.
Mrs. Wade was a member of Temple Baptist Church,
who also attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was
a lifelong resident of Banks County, but recently resid
ed at Jackson Oaks Senior Living in Jefferson. She was
loved by many, who knew her for her wonderful recipes
that she enjoyed cooking. In her spare time, she also
enjoyed puzzles, and traveling the United States, which
she did until age 89.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband, Jessie D. Wade; grandson, Adam Tai
lor Wade; and brothers, Paul Carter Parson and Edward
Parson.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, David
Wade, Phoenix, Arizona, Danny Wade (Crystal), Ho
mer, Dwight Wade (Jean), Homer, and Derek Wade
(Lisa), Homer; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchil
dren; brother, Jasper “Jack” Parson, Warner Robins;
sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene Magnolia Griggs,
Anderson, South Carolina, Bonnie Parson Marchbanks
(Edward), Demorest, Vickey Parson Thomas, Homer,
and Debrah Rose David (Walter), Homer; brother-in-
law, Grady White, Hall County; sister-in-law, Mary Da
vidson, Demorest; and several nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Luneral service: Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at
2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Lula, with the
Revs. James Duncan and Lamar Purcell officiating. In
terment will follow at Temple Baptist Church Ceme
tery.

ATHENS — Ray Lloyd Wilkes, 91, Athens (South
Jackson community), entered rest Monday, November
21,2022.
Mr. Wilkes was born in
Columbia, South Caro
lina, a son of the late Ar
chie Clarke Wilkes and the
late Mallie Lee Goodson
Wilkes, was a U.S. Army
Veteran having seived his
country in Korea for 18
months, and a member of
Crooked Creek Baptist
Church. Mr. Wilkes was
retired from GEC Elec
tronics.
In addition to his par
ents, Mr. Wilkes is preceded by brothers, Donald, and
Bobby Wilkes; and nephew, Del Wilkes.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Williamson Wil
kes, Athens; brother, Delbert Wilkes, Newberry, South
Carolina; sister-in-law, Kathleen Wilkes, Newberry,
South Carolina; and nieces and nephews, great-nieces
and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews also
suivive.
