Braselton PD Intoxicated woman arrested for scene at Spout Springs Rd. restaurant An Audi reported as sto len was found in the back of a residence on Pocket Rd. with damage sustained in multiple places. According to a report filed by the Jackson County Sher iff’s Office (JCSO), the proper ty owner said she didn’t know the stolen vehicle had been left at her residence. She said a man who typically comes to the property told her he needed a ride to an auto shop to buy a battery for the vehicle. She said she believed the car belonged to the man. The vehicle was reported stolen from a business on Lew is Braselton Blvd earlier in the day. Nathan Manca-Wells was arrested for the alleged theft af ter reportedly being seen leav ing the property in the vehicle. Multiple vehicles were re portedly entered at the loca tion and adjacent businesses. One vehicle owner said light bulbs were stolen from his car. OTHER INCIDENTS Other recent incidents report ed to the JCSO include: •damage to property on Wehunt Rd. where a driver re portedly struck and damaged a Windstream line box when he swerved to miss hitting a deer. •simple battery on Jackson Trail Rd. where a man said his son knocked him out under their carport during an argu ment over a chainsaw. He said he is “very particular about his chainsaw” and confronted his son for putting the wrong blade on it. He said his son jumped him with a punch to his face and he couldn’t remember anything after being struck. The man reportedly sustained a slight bruise on his face and a cut on his mouth. According to the arrest report, she pushed the restaurant owner’s wife and called her “a meth addict.” The owner told Current to leave, but she attempted to re-enter the restaurant. Current report edly pushed a restaurant door into the owner’s leg. causing a scratch, then urinated on herself at the front door. She reportedly resisted officers as she was de tained and placed into a patrol vehicle. ARRESTS Other recent arrests re ported by Braselton police include: •Darius Marquis Sher man, 30, 4869 Lily Stem Dr., Auburn — fleeing or attempting to elude, op erating an unregistered vehicle without a driver’s license and driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license; Anthony Lamar Poole, 32, 92 North Alexander St.. Buford — possession of a Schedule I or II substance, Sherman was arrested after he re portedly failed to pull over after an officer activated his lights to perform a traf fic stop. According to the arrest report, methamphet amine was found on the vehicle’s passenger, Poole, when an officer searched his pockets. Poole claimed the pants were not his and was unaware of the drugs in the pocket. The man told an officer he’d run through the woods. fearing that three men ac companying his girlfriend would harm him. •attempted suicide on Yvette Way where a juve nile reportedly took Tyle nol, Ibuprofen and mela tonin. She was transported to Northeast Georgia Med ical Center in Braselton. •information on Perim eter Circle where a driver reportedly hit a juvenile on a dirt bike. According to the incident report, the youth appeared to be OK. The driver reportedly paid for repairs to the dirt bike and agreed to pay for med ical bills. The responding officer told the juvenile’s father that she was not allowed to operate a dirt bike on the town’s streets. •drug investigation on Hwy. 211 where a driv er was cited for posses sion of marijuana (less than once), possession of drug-related objects and a taillight requirement vio lation during a traffic stop. •agency assist on Friendship Rd. where a man with a hold placed against him for drugs and alcohol reportedly escaped from Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Braselton. An officer later located the man. who said he fled the facility because he was to be medically detoxed for alcohol. He said he preferred to detox at his mother’s house. The offi cer convinced the man to let him transport him back to the hospital. •domestic disturbance on Franklin St. where foster parents reportedly locked their two foster kids out of their resi dence. According to the incident report, the fos ter parents allowed the juveniles to retrieve their belongings as both were relocated to new foster families. •drug investigation on Dunbar Rd. where a driv er was cited for posses sion of marijuana (less than one ounce) and fail ure to stop at a stop sign. •disturbance on Frank lin St. where a juvenile was reportedly locked out of a residence. •miscellaneous report on Berkshire Trace where a woman reportedly had a heart attack and was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton. •theft on Hwy. 211 where someone reported ly stole a skid steer from a construction site.
