is a constitwional disease, a corruption of the blood,
by’ which this fluid becomes vitirfflk 1 , weak, and
poor. l’-.-ing in the circulation, ic*pervades the

part 11 it." N > organ is free from its attacks, nor
is there one whi ch it may’ not destroy. The scrofu
lous taint is variously’ caused by’ mercurial disease,
lovt- livin'?:, disordered or unhealthy food, impure
air, filth and by 1 bits, the depressing vices,
ami, above all, bv the venereal infection. V\ hat

iniquities of the fathers upon their children.
Its effects commence by dep< sition from tnc
blood of corrupt er ulcerous matter, which, in the
' lungs liver, and internal organs, is termed tuber
cles ; in the glands, swellings; and on the surface,
eruptions or sores. This foul corruption, whicli

from or are egg: avated by the same cause.

The proprietors and manufaefurers of HOS

TERS can appeal w’nh perfect, confidence to
physicians and citizens generally of t lie United
States, because the article has attained a.repu

this point will speak more powerfully than
volumes of bare as sertion or blazoning puffery.
'The constwHption of Hostetter's Stomach Bit

million Houles, and from its manifest sternly
inerease’in times past, it. is evident that during
the coming year, the consumption will reach
near one ndllion bottles. ’This immense amount
could m’ver have been sold but for the rare
