What To Do If
You Have Catarrh.
If you suffer from chronic catarrh
of the head, nose, throat or lungs,
you must get down to some treatment
more reasonable than sprays, douches,
Mood remedies, ointments and inhala
tions, for all of these have proven
failures.
A treatment entirely different from
any of the above consists of a warm
medicated smoke-vapor, which being
Inhaled reaches directly every af
fected spot. This is certainly the
most practical and reasonable method,
for as catarrh gets into the air pas
sages by the inhalation of cold or
raw air, dust, etc., so it can be reached
by medicine in the same manner.
Dr. J. W. Blosser, who originated
this new form of treatment, has made
catarrh a specialty for many years
and his remedy has been so success
ful in the cure of catarrh, bronchitis,
catarrhal deafness, asthma, and all
catarrhal affections, that it is now
being used in all parts of the country.
If any reader who suffers from ca
tarrh would like to give this remedy
a test, and will write to Dr. J. W.
Blosser, 32 Walton street, Atlanta,
Ga., he will send by mail a free trial
sample of the remedy, and also a free
booklet telling all about the treat

go and that they had a good time for
the rest of us.
Say, boys, have you been reading
Miss Bryan’s Household? I for one
have been enjoying it immensely.
What did you think about Bob White’s
suggestion that the girls should do the
courting? Leap year will soon be here
and I hope some of the girls will adopt
Bob’s idea. Won’t we feel big next
year when we get a note during the
week from our “tootsie wootsie,” say
ing that she would like to call Sunday
afternoon if we have no objections!
Oh how we will buy paint and talcum
powders and Colgate’s cologne! I’m
afraid we’ll stay “broke” all the time
from buying things to make us look
pretty and smell sweet.
Well, I guess I would better “ring
off.” I’m afraid Bob White and I will
have to run off and hide for awhile.
Write again, cousins, all of you, very
soon.
Oh, but I shall be sorter scared to
read the paper; I dread getting a rap
from the girls. Guess though, I can
stand it. G. F. B.

THE DRAKETOWN BAPTIST
SCHOOL.
Among the foothills of the Appalach
ian range in Haralson County, Ga., lies
the quaint little village of Draketown.
This town although small in size has
one of the best equipped and thorough
ly organized high schools in this part
of the state. The school is known
as the Draketown Baptist Institute,
and is owned and controlled by five
Baptist associations, namely: Carroll
ton, Concord, Harmony, Tallapoosa
and Bethlehem.
It was by hard effort and continual
prayer that the building was finally
completed. It is built of brick, the
large recitation rooms and halls are
downstairs; while the upstairs is given
over to the auditorium, music, oratory
rooms, etc. Each recitation room is
furnished with a teacher’s desk and
chair, maps, charts, etc.
On September 16 at the opening
speeches were made by the represent
atives from the five associations, as
to the history, plans, endowment, and
possibilities of the school. About
eighty-five pupils registered their
names the first day, and since then the
school has been continually growing.
After the holidays, an attendance of
something like two hundred or two
hundred and twenty-five is expected.
This standard has not yet been reach
ed on account of the cotton crops,
and the scarcity of labor in this sec
tion ot the state.
A military department has been es
tablished and under the management
of Col. R. E. D. Whitworth will soon
be one of the most important depart
ments of the school. A debating so
ciety called the Broadus Literary So
ciety has been organized for the boys.
We feel that this kind of work is
Indispensable to the school. A simi
lar one will be organized for the girls.
The following is the literary faculty:
Col. R. E. D. Whitworth, president;
Misses Rose Baker, of Downsville, Hat
tie Collins, of Valdosta, and Maude
Cheney, of Shellman. The president
is a graduate of Mercer; the young
ladies are A. 8., B. L., graduates
of Bessie Tift College. Miss Carrie
Belle Edwards, of Eastman, has charge
of the music and oratory departments.
She also is a graduate of Bessie Tift.
The 26th of this month has been set
apart as work day for the Draketown
Baptist school. Every Baptist in the
five associations is requested and urg
ed to take notice of this and to give
the value of a good day’s work to
OXIDINE.

THE SPIRIT OF YOUTH.
It is to all possessors of the spirit
of youth that The Youth’s Companion
offers its companionship of mind and
heart. This companionship begins with
the youngest members of a household,
too young, perhaps, to read to them
selves. It is waiting for the boy and
girl to whom the whole enchanted
world that lies behind the printed page
stands ready for discovery. It follows
them on through school and college
and the early years of bread-winning,
expressing in a thousand ways the in
terests of their daily lives. In middle
and later life it is with them still, in
its weekly offerings of knowledge and
pleasure. It is because the children,
the boys and girls, the parents and
the grandparents —all imbued with one
spirit of healthy youth—have learned
to seek and find true companionship in
