Impure Blood
Thoroughly Cleansed
Relieved of All Impurities Through
the Use of Stuart’s Calcium
Wafers.
The blood is a thick, opaque fluid
of a rich, red hue in the arteries, and
a purplish blue in the veins. It de
rives its color from numerous small
bodies floating in it which are called
red corpuscles. If the blood be ex
amined under a microscope the red
corpuscles will appear as thin, circu
lar disks, floating in a transparent,
nearly colorless fluid.
These red corpuscles number 5,090,-
000 to the cubic centimeter; but it
often happens that they become very
much diminished in number, a condi
tion known as anaemia or leukoaemia.
There are also other circular bodies
in the blood known as white corpus
cles, but which are much less numer
ous than the red.
The red corpuscles are the stimulat
ing and animating elements of the
blood. They absorb oxygen in their
passage through the lungs, and con
vey it to the tissues of the body,
where combining with food elements
absorbed from the stomach, it evolves
animal heat.
Whenever the kidneys fail to prop
erly filter the blood of its impurities,
or whenever constipation occurs, the
impure foreign matter collects in the
blood-current, is carried to all parts
of the system in the circulation, and
is usually deposited in the form of
pimples and other eruptions upon the
skin.
Most of these eruptions appear upon
the face, for the reason that the skin
there is thinner than anywhere else.
Many people commit the error of try
ing to cure the pimples or eruptions
by the application of salves and lo
tions, which is a great mistake, as the
cause of the trouble is deeper seated,
and the skin disease is simply the
outward manifestation of the impure ■
condition of the blood within.
Calcium Sulphide is the greatest
blood purifier in existence. Instead of
driving the blood impurities out
through the pores, it sends them out
through the proper channels —the kid
neys and intestines.
STUART’S CALCIUM WAFERS
contain calcium sulphite, combined
with other powerful alteratives or pu
rifiers, which act rapidly and power
fully upon the morbid products of
(he blood, expelling them completely,
preventing their return, and incident
ally removing pimples, boils, black
heads, carbuncles, tetter, ringworm,
scurvy and all other skin blemishes.

TWILIGHT.
A sombre-tinted, pearl-gray sky,
Edged with rims of pink,
Just as the day’s about to die
And night is on the brink.
The low, shrill call of a lark
As he seeks his homeland nest;
Os daylight still —a lingering spark,
And the world is sinking to rest.
Far out on the sea a ship sails by,
And the sailor lowers his sail,
And has for his roof the sky,
All nature is peaceful and still.
After the toil of the day,
And many there are whom this
peace will thrill,
Who wish it could stay alway.
Twilight, thou art a comforter of
men’s hearts,
Thou soothest his noisy days,
And bringest into the crowded city
marts,
A peace that lulls away
All care, all strife, all tears.
All the hard things that make up life,
And enterest in, with gentlest touch
To wipe away his tears.
Twilight, all things beautiful are thine,
The sun’s last, faintly tinted rays
Come with a beauty that's divine.
To drive away the mournful lays
That sometime fill our hearts.
All through the day’s long hours,
When the sun is shining bright,
And we stir busily in our working
hours,
We wait for thee, sweet twilight.

Young People:
Do you believe in dreams? Yes?
No?
For the past three weeks I have
felt a tugging at my heart to tell you
of a dream that came to me once,
but each week our department has
been so filled with good letters that
1 have quieted the “tugging,” by say
ing, Wait till next week.
But now I am going to heed the
impression. Possibly the telling will
help some one as the dream helped
me.
Just now I hear some of our older
folks say, “Ah, tut! tut! there’s noth
ing in a dream.” Why not? Cer
tainly not in all dreams. But, have

you ever heard any one satisfactorily
explain the mystery of dreamland?
Our Heavenly Father has power
over all things, hasn’t He? Then, if
sometimes He should see fit to use
our dreams to teach us lessons, need
we be surprised?
Then, tell me what you think of
this, that came in a dream:
The day had been unusually hard,
in the way of conflict, but finally, af
ter tossing restlessly until far into
the night, 1 dropped into a troubled
sleep, with the same anxious prayer,
still on my lips, that almost every
breath of the day had borne to our
sympathizing Savior’s ear, “That in
this that was trying me so, I might
take just the path He would have
me, and that in His superior wisdom,
was best, would honor Him most, re
gardless of what the personal sacri
fice might mean to me.” Conscious
of uttering the same prayer in my
sleep, I seemed, to awaken to a con
sciousness of having been sick for
some time and with the realization
that my family thought I could not
live. I seemed extremely weak and a
dim light was burning in my room.
As I lay there, thinking of the con
flict through which 1 was passing,
and the relief from the responsibility
of a decision, that would come, if in
reality death was so close to me, the
thought came, “Yes, this will be the
answer to my prayer, my Father will
take me out of it all,” and there was
such a feeling of —yes it was —selfish
relief.
Just then the dim outlines of a
white draped figure took shape in
the door, whose features I could not
discern; I wasn't afraid, but thought,
“This is the death angel come for
me.” She glided past the bed and
stood silently for a few moments, as
if waiting to be questioned but 1 did
not speak; turning, she came noise
lessly back to the bed and in a soft,
soothing voice, said. “And you think
