Attention! Post Office Means Business!
At first the Post Office department was inclined to be lenient with papers that were
making an honest effort to collect back subscriptions, even tho’ they were more than
a year behind; but the authorities now say that every subscriber must be cut off who
does not pay up. We don’t want to lose a single subscriber, but the law says you
MUST PAY OR DIE! HURRY!!! And we will make it easy for you.
Recently Dr. Broughton, of the Baptist
Tabernacle, Atlanta, has been preaching a
series of expository sermons on “The King
dom of Heaven,” as set forth in the para
bles in the thirteenth chapter of Matthew.
It is agreed by expositors generally that
this chapter contains seven parables, and
they are generally referred to as tne Seven
Parables of the Kingdom. Dr. Broughton,
however, affirms that there are eight of
these parables, and that without the distinct
lesson of the eighth parable, which is almost
universally conceded to be a part of the
seventh, a very important part of the teach
ing, concerning the kingdom, as taught in

In your own life of purity you have

THE CHILD AND THE MOON.
(Continued from Page 13.)
Baby is watching you, Baby and I,
Lovely moon, lovely moon, up in the
sky.
“Can the moon see the lambs,”
asked the child sleepily. His eyelids
were so heavy that he could scarcely
keep them open, w r hile the moon look
ed in at the window and his mother
sang:
Tell us, oh, lovely moon, what do you
see,
As you shine down upon meadow and
tree?
I see the little lambs, I see the sheep,
I see a baby child going to sleep.
The moon smiled at the child and
his mother, and the mother smiled at
the moon; but the little child did not
see them, for he was fast asleep.
THE DUTIES OF MOTHERHOOD.
“The woman who faithfully assumes
the duties of motherhood is attempting
the greatest work in which human
skill and power can be employed—
aiming at results which all selectest
influences are required to produce —
scattering seeds of life which are to
grow and burst into flower, and yield
fruit throughout all future ages—cre
ating forms of beauty more imperish
able than marble or mosaic, which
shall not only please the eye and
charm the hearts of men, but on which
God and angels shall look with com
placency and delight.”

Broughton’s treatment of this absorbing sub
