How to Raise
The Money

telling it again will cause them to

There are many places to fill and
even though ours seems small no oth
er can do our duties.
If all did only great things what
would become of the thousands of
small deeds to be performed?
“A little duty well done is great
within itself.”
I was so sorry to hear of “Brother
Willie” getting hurt. We can hardly
refrain from asking why is one of so
much worth to the kingdom confined
while so many eager hearts are wait
ing to hear his cheering voice? Yet we
know “He doeth all things well.”
Little Mother, you have my sincerest
sympathy. You are so kind and pa
tient with our little Corner, and I
know we don’t help you as we should.

A DEBATE AND BADGE.
Dear Little Mother and Circle: It
has been some time since I wrote last,
but hope I have not been forgotten.
I think it was indeed bad about Bro.
Willie getting his leg broken but I hope
it was all for the best.
I enjoyed reading Little Mother’s
visit to Folrida fine, but wish I could
have been with her for I have always
had a desire to go to Florida. “Yes,”
I think it would be the very thing for
us to have another debate; it causes
us to think of things we would never
have thought of before. I also think it
would be nice for us cousins to get
us some badges with Little Mother’s
picture on them or something of that
kind so if we should ever be fortunate
enough to meet each other we would
know them. What do Little Mother
and the Cousins think about this?
Let’s all we cousins write oftener and
make the page more interesting; it
seems that we have all been so busy
going to school or something we
haven’t had time to write, but we
must not forget our page.
I hope all the cousins will write and
give us their opinion about the badges.
Lovingly,
BUNNY.

FARMER OR FISHERMAN, WHICH?
Dear Little Mother: I want to write
you a letter and tell you I enjoy The
Golden Age very much. I live on the
farm and I like it finely. I like to go
hunting and fishing. You see lam a
great farmer. The wild flowers are
beautiful here when they are in full
bloom. I think it must be fine to ride
in an automobile along the fine roads
you have up there. We have nice
churches and good schools. We play
ball at recess and have a good time.
My papa has a big saw mill near the
school house. I live about a half mile
from the school house.
I am only thirteen years old. My
teacher’s name is Prof. M. D. Collier.
We have a good school and I go all the
time, when it is not vacation. This is
a short letter but it is my first letter
to The Golden Age. I must get to my
lesson now so good-bye.
Yours truly,
WYATT L. RAPE.

If you would be a power for good
you must be positively righteous. The
elements in chemistry which affect
changes are positive elements. You
cant pickle cucumbers in buttermilk,
it takes apple vinegar. You can’t save
meat with flour; it takes salt. You
can’t light a room with foxfire; it takes
real light. Neither can you make a

can’t save the world with piecemeal
Christians. We must be something.—
