Quick Relief
From Catarrh
A Simple, Safe, Reliable Way, and it
Costs Nothing te Try.
Those who suffer from catarrh know
its miseries. There is no need of this
suffering. You can get rid of it by a
simple, safe, inexpensive home treat
ment discovered by Dr. Blosser, who,
for over thirty-six years, has been
treating catarrh successfully.
His treatment is unlike any other.
It is not a spray, douche, salve, cream,
or inhaler, but is a more direct and
thorough treatment than any of these.
It cleans out the head, nose, throat
and lungs so that you can again
breathe freely and sleep without that
stopped-up feeling that all catarrh suf
ferers have. It heals the diseased
mucous membranes and arrests the
foul discharge so that you will not be
constantly blowing your nose and spit
ting, and at the same time it does not
poison the system and ruin the stom
ach, as internal medicines do.
If you want to test this treatment
without cost, send your address to Dr.
J. W. Blosser, 32 Walton street, Atlan
ta, Ga., and he will send you by return
mail enough of the medicine to satisfy
you that it is all he claims for it as a
remedy for catarrh, catarrhal head
aches, catarrhal deafness, asthma,
bronchitis, colds and all catarrhal
complications. He will also send you
free an illustrated booklet. Write him
immediately.

take her out of herself and call into
action the fine, strong qualities I be
lieve she possesses.”
“You have more faith in her than I
have. I shall watch your experiment
with interest.”
“Anabel is greatly changed since you
knew her. The evil spirits that pos
sessed her then have been cast out, I
truly believe, by Him who cast them
out of Mary Magdalene. And like that
Mary of Magdalene, Anabel will, I be
lieve, develop an enthusiasm and de
votedness that will make her a power
for good.”
“Well,” he said, “I wish somebody
would take an interest in me. Perhaps
I too might develop into something
worth while. As it is, lam just a fifth
wheel —no use to myself or any one
else. My mission as regards Sylvia
is ended. She has a husband to watch
over her. My brother is married and
no longer needs my companionship. I
am tired of traveling and drifting
about. Settle down, you will say: Set
tle down to what? Working just to
make money seems a dry, ignoble bus
iness to me.”
“But you can do work that is fine,
and of use to the world. You have
studied medical science. It is a great
field—a field that is constantly widen
ing—taking in psychology and other
sciences. There are new maladies to
study and conquer, new remedies to
discover, deeper depths of human pow
er and energy to explore. You may
throw yourself into the electric current
of thought and research here in this
great city and become inspired to ef
fect great things by contact with other
thinkers and students. When you need
rest and solitude, why there is your
pretty bungalow on Mystic Lake
among the oaks and magnolias.”
“Where I could sit on the porch and
fancy I saw old Nemo paddling his
skiff to shore with a string of perch
to sell —or —a far more haunting vis
ion—see a bird-like little figure trip
ping along the shady road on her way
to teach the young Glenwood idea how
to shoot.”
“Yes, if such fancies would divert
you.”
Divert! Ah! I would still be the
loneliest-hearted man in the world,”
he said with such sadness in his voice,
that Faith exclaimed unguardedly.
“Then why not marry? You are still
young.”
“Marry!” he wheeled around from
the window, on whose frosted pane he
had been absently drumming and look
ed at her intently. Something in the
look sent the blood into her cheeks.
She wished that her impulsive sympa
thy had not caused her to suggest mar
riage to this man, whom she truly lik
ed but did not understand. He was
still regarding her with his strange,
charmful eyes. “Faith,” he said, “you
advise marriage for me, how is it with
you? Do you not intend to marry?”
His look confused her, but she an
swered quietly. “I think not. Mar
riage has no place in my outlook for
the future.”
“Is there not some man you might
be led to marry—some one who is
free to offer his love to you and whose
esteem for you would lead him to de
vote himself to you in away that
might gain your affection. Do you
know of no such man?”
She turned away her eyes from him.
“No,” she answered gently, but with
decision.
“I thought as much,” he said.
Suppressing a sigh, he turned back to
the window. He stood in silence for a
moment, looking out at the still-falling
snow. Then abruptly turning around,
he said.
“I promised my brother to be back
to luncheon. Good-bye, Faith, God
be good to you, little girl, and give you
some day, your heart’s desire.”
He held her hand with a light pres
sure, then dropped it, and left her
alone.
