Better Than Spanking
Spanking does not cure children of bed
wetting. There is a constitutional cause
for this trouble. Mrs. M. Summers, Box
576, South Bend, Ind., will send free to
any mother her successful home treat
ment, with full instructions. Send no
money, but write her today if your chil
dren trouble you in this way. Don’t
blame the child, the chances are it can’t
help it. This treatment also cures adults
and aged people troubled with urine diffi
culties by day or night.

young man just started out in life;
let me give you some good advice;
don’t be discouraged and give up
teaching, because you can not please
everybody, for you will find in every
walk of life, even I as a minister of
the Gospel find, those who are hard
to please; so go on teaching; do just
as near right as you can and you win
succeed.' How much like Brother
Willie’s motto: “Let nothing discour
age you; never give up.’’
These words coming just when I
needed aid, made such an impression
on me that I shall never forget them.
There are two lessons nere, the ad
vice he gave was good and it was
given to a discouraged heart just
when it was needed. We never know
when someone needs cheering on the
way. Every day I realize more and
more the truth of what he said. So
I am going to say to all the young
people of our Circle: We must re
member that in this life it matters not
to what we may aspire, we can not
please everyone. But we can do our
duty and do what is right as we see
it, taking the advice of those whom
we know are wise in experience, let
ting Christ and the Word of God be
our guide and we can’t go far wrong.

MY LITTLE BOARDERS.
(Mother Wren and her Family)
She came a few weeks ago, and was
the dearest little lady I ever saw —
couldn’t resist the blandishment of
her looks, so took her in—and then
began the fun. Every day she would
bring in bits of paper, straw, soft cot
ton, found on the sill, ano with odds
and ends of gay ravelled silk, Madam
Wren began to build her a nest right
up on the mantle piece by a fair wo
man’s face. When brown eyes looked
down on the little builder —her mate
did nothing but sing, and she would
trill soft and low as busy at her
happy work —into that nest went five
eggs and five wee birdies were hatch
ed in due time. And oh! how happy
she was in filling their five little
mouths. Today they went away, a nap
py brood, out my eyes were full of
tears as I helped each one out the
open window and safe in the yard,
then they sent me back a ‘‘jubilate”
of song. “Goodby, goodby,” they sang,
and then left me watching them go,
so glad and free. ANNICE L.

A QUICK TRIP.
The young son of a prominent rail
way man was playing with the draw
ing room chairs one afternoon when
his father entered, accompanied by a
gentleman whom the child had never
particularly fancied.
As the visitor took a chair the boy
remonstrated. “I beg your pardon,
sir, but this is a train of cars.”
“Very well, my son,” was the an
swer: “I’ll be a passenger.”
But the youngster didn’t want the
grown-up for a passenger, so he said:
“Where do you wish to get off?”
“Cincinnati.”
“All right,” said the boy. “This is
Cincinnati.’’ —Lippincott’s.
