HERBS AND FLOWERS
CURE CATARRH
A Safe, Simple, Reliable Remedy
Which Costs Nothing to Try
You need not suffer from catarrh,
bronchitis, lingering colds or other ca
tarrhal troubles. After years of re
search and experiment Dr. Blosser dis
covered a compound of herbs, leaves
and flowers which by a unique method
is applied to every nook and corner
of the mucous membrane in the head,
nose, throat and lungs.
Any sufferer, after giving it a trial,
can readily see why it is so greatly
superior to such ordinary treatments
as sprays, ointments, salves, liquid or
tablet medicines, because all these do
not and cannot reach all the affected
parts, while Dr. Blosser’s method
reaches every spot; and this explains,
at least in part, the wonderful success
with which it is meeting. The full
size package costs but one dollar. It
is harmless, pleasant to use, and is
easily applied even by a child.
No matter how deep-seated, your ca
tarrh may be; no matter how long it
has troubled you; no matter if other
remedies have failed; you should give
this treatment a trial, and it will do
for you what it has done for thousands
of other sufferers. Write at once to
Dr. J. W. Blosser, 32 Walton street,
Atlanta, Ga., in order to avail yourselt
of his offer of a free trial package of
the remedy and an illustrated booklet
which gives all the facts about catarrh.

The Law of the White Circle

“A book to stir

that powerfully grips
the pillars of social
life.”—Tom Watson
in The Jeffersonian.
‘‘One of the great
est novels ever
written by a South
ern man. It is viv

ful.”—John Trot
wood Moore.
‘‘From just such
writers, men of au-
thoritative thought, the South will be awak
ened to what is necessary in this negro ques
tion—just such books as The Law of the
White Circle, which we should welcome,
read and study.”—Birmingham Age-Herald
This novel is absolutely unique in English
Literature and with the exception of none is
the only attempt to be philosophically accu
rate in handling this all-absorbing race
theme. It is a virile, honest, red-blooded
presentation of the greatest factor in Ameri
can life.

Right Giveth Victory
who, believing, strongly lays his hand
fl £lO Unto the work that waits for him to do —
Though men should cavil, measures prove untrue,
Friends write their trusted promises on sand,
And failure mock him with its threatening brand,
Still, in the end, who, fearless, shall pursue
Till crack of doom, will find a power which few
Or none with cause less righteous may command.
For conquest is not built on the defeat
Os any man whose aim is human good;
Who fights for justice hath already won,
Before no show of loss shall he retreat;
However crossed, maligned misunderstood,
He knows but triumph in the work well done.

CHAT.
If I have a hobby, or if I should
speak of such a principle, in that
sense, then the “Unidentified” writ
er of the lines at the head of our de
partment this week has expressed in
far prettier wording than I ever
could, that hobby, but in no stronger
terms than I have long felt it. I
would rather impress that thought on
the minds of my young readers than
any other one thing. “Right giveth
victory.” It may not come just when
we expect it, nor in the way we ex
pect it, but if out of our own hearts
we can look up into the face of the
Saviour, see His approving smile
and feel the throb of His own under
standing love standing back of us and
urging us on to a task undertaken, we
should let no barrier that Satan or
his agents may put in our pathway
be more than real stepping stones to
the goal we have in view.
God wills that right should conquer
and it will, but if we would have a
part in that victory we must be
watchful to discern the enemy’s ob
stacles, intended as stumbling blocks
and let them instead carry us closer
to His loving arm that is ever ready
to reach down and lift us out and
over the seemingly impenetrable wall
of trial or oppostion that surrounds
us.
If you will pardon me I will tell
you of a strange leading that came to
me about five years ago in a dream.
“Oh! I don’t believe in dreams, did I
hear you say?” Nor do I in the ordi
nary too-much-supper dream, but
MIGHT NOT BE ALIVE.
McMinnville, Tenn. —Mrs. Ocie Jett,
of this place, writes: “I don’t believe
I would be living today, if it hadn’t
been for Cardui. I lay in bed for 27
days, and the doctor came every day,
but he did me no good. Finally, he
advised an operation, but I would not
consent, and instead took Cardui. Now
I am going about the house, doing my
work, and even do my washing. Car
dui worked wonders in my case. 1
am in better health than for five
years.” Cardui is a strengthening
tonic for women. It relieves pain,
tones up the nerves, builds strength.

The Golden Age For November 16, 1911.
Conducted by MRS. G. B. LINDSEY'-
there are times when as of old we
are directed or comforted or warned,
as the case may be, in dreams. In
this instance I was facing a trial, the
reason for which I could not under
stand. It involved sacrifice, so close
ly interwoven with duties, that must
be faced, that I knew not where to
turn and I went to bed after hours of
conflicting arguments had been stir
ring in my own heart, praying for di
rection and strength to do His will,
despite the sacrifice, and to be shown
that will.
And this dream came I seemed se
riously sick and waking from a trou
bled sleep, I saw standing across the
room from me the figure of a woman
in clinging white drapery, a watery
white halo enveloping her, so that I
could not discern the features of her
face. As I roused she glided noise
lessly to the side of the bed and rais
ing her hand to a position just over
my head as though she were going to
utter a benediction of blessing, she
said, “And you are troubled? Let
me give you a message:
In life’s pathway grow many pleas
ures,
But we should not seek to cull them
all,
Lest in the gath’ring we stumble and
fall;
Instead, we should, without a mur
mur,
Drink deep drafts from life’s cup of
sorrow,
And so, be purified for the great to
morrow.
Lowering her head she vanished in
the darkness, and I waked myself re
peating the lines over and over, and
counting the measure on* my fingers.
I got up so soon as I could bring my
self to understand what had come to
me, and wrote down the words. By
referring to my watch, I found I had
only been asleep a short time, but I
had learned that the duty which God
had placd before me; nay, the privi-
