Miss Avery named Betty
Crocker S.H.S. Homemaker
Llewelyn Avery has
been named the Betty
Crocker Homemaker
of Tomorrow from SHS
according to Mr. W. C.
Fordham, principal. The
announcement came after
the results of the national
Betty Crocker homemaker
tests were announced. On
Dec. 6, all senior class girls
took a standardized test
on homemaking knowl
edge and aptitudes. This
test was a part of the Betty
Crocker Search for the
American Homemaker
of Tomorrow. The tests
were graded by Science
Research Associates and
the highest scorer in each
school was designated
local school winner.

took both games this
past week with ease and
are starting to hum like
a well-oiled machine. It
took some time for their
true identity to emerge
as they struggled with
consistency early in the
season, but as the regular
season draws to a close
this week, they appear

The Smack Down on SMS
wrestling
The 2010-2011 wrestling
season at SMS was a great
success. The team com
peted in weekly duals
against Dublin, Vidalia,
West Laurens, East
Laurens, Dodge County
and Toombs County. The
region tournament was

with seven teams partic
