Members of the 10U Boys Allstar Team are Jayvion Sherrod, Mal colm Steele, Artis Kings- berry, Kamarion Dukes, Quintin Dukes, Ty'kevi- us Worthen, Caden Wat son, Zi'len Boynton, Ash ton David and Charlie Fluellen. Coaches are Da vid Coleman, Kawame Coleman and Quintin Dukes. The Allstar Team be gan tournament play by defeating Washington County on Feb. 16. They lost to Rincon in the championship game on Feb. 19. The district tourna ment was hosted by Effingham County Rec reation and Parks and played at the Clarence E. Morgan Complex Gym. Swainsboro Police Reports Officers with the Sivainsboro Police Department (SPD) report ed... February 13 Officers were notified by an unknown person that a vehicle was leaving the restaurant and was very intoxicated. Officer followed the vehicle and observed the driver fail to maintain his lane of traffic several times, at which point he made a traffic stop. Officer made contact with the driver and asked him to step out of his vehicle. He then asked for his license and was told that his tires are way too wide and he goes out of the lane all the time. Officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol and was asked if he would take a PBT test and he stated yes. Driver's eyes were red and bloodshot, his gait was unsteady, and his speech was mumbled and slow. Officer was dispatched to Allen St. in reference to a problem with dogs. Complainant stated dogs keep going in her yard trying to bite her child. Officer was dispatched to New St. in reference to a burglary. Upon arriv al, officer spoke with complainant who stated someone broke into his residence and stole clean ing supplies, and believes he knows who did it. SECRD 8U, 12U Boys compete in district tournament Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation De partment's 8U and 12U Boys Allstar Basketball Teams competed in the Georgia Recreation and Park Association Class "B" First District Tour naments held Feb.16-19 in Springfield. Hosted by Effingham County Recreation and Parks, the tournaments were played at the Clarence E. Morgan Complex Gym. The 8U Boys were defeated by Washing ton County in their first game on Feb. 17. The 12U Boys also lost their first game to Washing ton County on Feb. 18. Members of the 8U Boys Allstar team are Jonquin McKinney, ShaRon Sherrod, Emery Watson, Justin Nobles, Cameron Williams, Terrance Coleman, KJ Coleman, Jayce Sher rod, Drake Clements and De'marion Jones. Coaches are Jonquin McKinney and Kawas- quie Coleman. Officer was dispatched to Tractor Supply in ref erence to the theft of 2 utility trailers. Upon arrival, officers spoke with c/o, he stated the trailers on the lot utilized a cable to connect them all together, along with individual tongue locks, and the cable was cut. February 15 Officer responded to Prosperity Dr. in refer ence to stolen property. Upon arrival, officers met with complainant who stated she was sit ting in her vehicle on Oak St. when a male snatched $72 in cash out of her hand through the window and ran into the woods. C/o stated she was told who the offend er was, but could not positively identify him as the suspect in question. Officer was dispatched to Wincore in reference to a disgruntled, recent ly terminated employ ee. Upon arrival, officer spoke with complainant who stated the offender refused to listen to an immediate supervisor and became angry and verbally abusive toward staff. C/o stated offend er made a threat as he was leaving, as he was told numerous times to leave. C/o further stated offender flipped a table over as he was leaving the building. February 16 Officers were traveling Southbound on South Coleman Street behind a silver vehicle. Upon run ning the vehicles tag, it was discovered that the registration on the car was suspended. Officer imitated a traffic stop where it was discovered that the drivers license was suspended. Driver was placed under arrest and transported to the SPD. Officers were dis patched to Lee Street in reference to an individ ual who claimed that someone swapped out the rims on his vehicle. Officer ran the tag on the vehicle in front of him which came back with no insurance. The officer stopped the vehi cle and spoke with the driver who states she just paid it not long ago. They attempted to contact the insurance company with no luck. The officer had the car towed and took the driver back to her residence by her request. February 17 Officers were dis patched in reference to a report stating he has two storage units, one of which the lock has been cut off. He did not notice anything missing, but noticed a drawer on a dresser was open. Officers were dis patched with a complaint that the complainants ex kept harassing and threatening her because she stated talking to his Dad. She had messag es from the offender to show the officers. Com plainant stated that she was scared and wanted to report this and have the paper trail of him harassing her. Officers were dis patched in reference to some stolen paperwork. The complainant stated that he was in court that day in reference to an eviction notice. He stat ed that the judge need ed some paperwork that was issued to him and it was at his residence. When he returned home to get the paperwork that someone unknown to him had entered his room without permis sion and took the court papers. He states it had to be someone who had a key, but was unable to get in touch with man agement. February 18 Officer stopped a driver who immediately let the officer know he did not have any license and that it was suspended and he just ran to the store for a couple of items. The driver asked the officer to contact his girlfriend whom of which was the owner of the vehicle to avoid a towing fee, where they later came and got the vehicle. Officers were patrolling the streets and were dis patched in reference to a male wanting to make a report of a female going against a restraining order in place. Officers were informed of a stolen vehicle being in a local business' park ing lot. No one was inside the vehicle and the doors were unlocked. The next list wrecker arrived on the scene and towed the vehicle. Officers responded in reference to a glass break alarm. While looking through the window it appeared that the cash register drawer was missing. Officers called the key holder to come to the scene so the building could be searched with K-9. During the hunt from the K-9, officers recovered the missing cash register.
