Complainant's vehi cle was parked in a parking space unoc cupied at the middle school when offender pulled out of a parking space and struck c/o's vehicle, causing slight damage. 911 dispatched a call to Sunset Dr. in ref erence to a domestic dispute. Upon arriv al, Deputy spoke with complainant about his ex-girlfriend and her getting some belong ings from his residence and then spoke with the ex-girlfriend and she stated that she had already gotten her clothes and the baby's clothes, and had been gone from the residence for about 2 months and she had some furniture still left in the residence. Since she had already obtained her clothes and the child's clothes and other items, she was advised to go see the magistrate about the rest of her stuff. The ex-girlfriend called the mother and father over to get some items she couldn't put in her car. The father shoed up and started cursing at the complainant, trying to start a fight and was asked to leave. February 25 Deputy responded to Thrift Dr. for a medi cal call. Upon arrival, contact with the com plainant and he was transported by EMS. February 26 Deputies responded to a 2-vehicle accident with injuries on Old Nunez Rd. Upon arriv al, EMS were already on scene and accident was worked by GSP. Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Hwy 80 E. on a motorcycle for speeding violation of 97 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. The driver attempted to elude and pursuit was initiated. Main St, entered 2/25/21; Theft/ conversion; released 2/27/21; SPD Heather Nicole Ware, 33, 681 Kemp Rd, entered 2/25/21; DUI/alch/ Speeding 15-29 MPH over; released 2/26/21; ECSO Jaworski Lee Ricks, 39, 221 McLeod Bridge Rd, entered 2/26/21; Seatbelt violation/ Fleeing/ attempt to elude ofc/ Failure to stop at stop sign/VGCSA possession of drug related object/ VGCSA marijuana/poss less than oz/VGCSA/ vio ga control subst act; picious vehicle that was parked beside the road. Deputies arrived on scene and did not see anyone around the vehicle. Deputies respond ed to a brush fire on Canoochee Rd. near Hawhammock Church Rd. After the fire was under control, Forestry notified deputy that they have had several brush fires in the area the past couple days and every one of them looked to be intention ally started by a drip torch. Deputy stopped a wanted subject and took him into custody without incident. January 27 Deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy 56 N. when he observed a vehicle exceeding the speed limits of 55 MPH and used his radar to confirm the speed of 77 MPH. Deputy then ini tiated a traffic stop and based off indications of alcohol consumption, the driver was placed under arrest. Deputies responded to Mt. Olivet Church Rd. for a call about a group of people drag racing. Upon arrival, no one was seen drag rac ing, but there were sev eral marks in both lanes near the county line. Deputy met with Toombs County deputy on Hwy 86 E. in ref erence to a theft inci dent that occurred at Whippoorwill Rd. in Emanuel County. While on scene, offender who was detained within Toombs County and turned over to EmCo deputy for further investigation. Deputy responded to Lambs Bridge Rd. in reference to a couple of 911 hang-up calls, possibly a child. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the par ents and several young children and confirmed the phone number belonged to one of the minors. Complainant stated he was renting to own a single wide trailer from offender and remodel ing it. When he arrived at the location, he noticed that the mail box had been tampered with and his applianc es, roofing material, to be gone. C/o stated he believes offenders went through a window and unlocked the front door to get the items out of the house. Deputies responded to Mt. Olivet Church Rd. in reference to a report of drag racing. Upon arrival, the vehi cles in question were gone prior to reporting deputy's arrival. Deputy was patrolling the area of S. Coleman St. when he observed a vehicle fail to main tain lane. Deputy then initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and based off of indications of alcohol consumption, the driv er was placed under arrest. February 28 Deputies were requested by SPD to assist in the pursuit of a vehicle on Canoochee MPH over; released 2/27/21; ECSO Dexter Lamont Freeman, 38, 391 Braswell Blvd, entered 2/27/21; Failure to maintain lane/ DUI/alch / Open con tainer; released 2/28/21; ECSO Jarel Rotema Brown, 31, 4852 Williams Rd, Millen, entered 2/28/21; Fell/ attempt to elude police/ fel/off/Speeding 15-29 MPH over/Driving lie susp / rev / VGCSA mari- juana/poss less than oz; SPD Shannon Ledarian Clark, 27, 909 Old Wadley Rd, entered 2/28/21; Probation/Swainsboro PD/Middle Ga Probation; released 3/1/21; SPD Marco Antonio Hernandez, 27, 136 Youngblood Rd, Hazlehurst, entered 2/28/21; Driving lie susp / rev / Reckless driv ing/Open container; released 2/28/21; ECSO Rd. Deputy was able to catch up to the pursu ing officer and the vio lators vehicle. Officer and deputy success fully boxed the vehicle in at the intersection of Canoochee Rd. and Brinson's Cemetery Rd. The violators vehicle struck deputy's brush guard attempting to go around officer's patrol unit to avoid being stopped. The violator then stopped the vehi cle and put his hands out of the window with no further incident. Two other occupants were in the vehicle and were identified by SPD and were released with no charges. Deputies responded to Ebenezer Church Rd. in reference to an ATV driving recklessly in the area. Deputies sat for appx. 35 minutes and had negative contact with the ATV in ques tion. Complainant stat ed someone stole the saddle bags and GPS system off of his motor cycle that was sitting in his yard on Dellwood Main St. Located in the saddle bags were his rain suit, heated, gloves, and helmet. Sheriff's Reports According to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office... February 22 Deputies assisted SPD and Probation with a warrant on Hwy 80 W. Deputies assisted SPD with a vehicle acci dent with injuries on W. Meadowlake Parkway. Deputy arrived on scene first and had one male complaining of neck and leg pain and both vehicles were still in the roadway. Shortly after, SPD arrived and the scene was turned over to them. Deputies then assisted with traf fic control. Lt. recovered prop erty from Tom's Pawn at the request of Burke County Magistrate's Office. Deputy met with com plainant who stated she noticed her Android phone was missing and her snapehat app showed it to be on Hwy 25 in Hephzibah. February 23 Deputy met with complainant who stat ed offender, which is her daughter, hit her in the head with a book. Deputy then placed offender under arrest for Battery Family Violence. Complainant stated she was driving down Hwy 56 N. when she noticed flames coming from the air vents and pulled over and noticed the engine bay was on fire. Deputy spoke with complainant who stat ed he was traveling on 116 and a rock came off a dump truck and hit his windshield causing damage. Deputy met with complainant in refer ence to receiving threat ening messages from offender via Facebook Messenger. Deputies responded to Wes Lawson Rd. in reference to a child cus tody. Deputy responded to Piney Grove Rd. in Midville for a medical call. Upon arrival, dep uty was unable to locate the suspect. Deputies responded to Hwy 56 N. in refer ence to an animal colli sion. Upon arrival, driv er had already moved the deer and debris from the roadway and stated he needed his vehicle towed due to extensive damage to the front of the vehicle with airbag deployment. Deputy responded to Price Williams Rd. upon request and was scene for the purpos es of maintaining the peace and assisting AC1 Animal Control & Emanuel County Code Enforcement while in capacity of their assigned duty. Offender became irate and attempted to interfere with agencies during which time Deputy attempted multiple times to verbally dees- calate and calm the situ ation with the offender, and advised offender to step aside to allow the aforementioned agen cies to perform their duties, at which point offender began walk ing towards the loca tion of the said dogs. Deputy then attempt ed to physically block the offender, at which point offender tensed up and pulled away while making his way towards the location of the dogs. While in phys ical contact with offend er, Deputy applied a leg sweep that enabled him to control the offender from the ground. While on the ground with one hand cuffed, offender remained tensed and noncompliant. After a brief struggle, Deputy applied adequate force that enabled him to effect the arrest with out further incident. Offender was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. February 24 Vehicle was travel ing on Lambs Bridge Rd. when her vehicle left the road and truck several trees.
