Under the di rection of Coroner Jeffery Peebles, a state of the art 8x10 walk-in morgue has been installed at Emanu el Medical Center, replac ing the original morgue that dated back to 1953 and was made out of oak wood. The 61-year-old morgue could hold only two bodies whereas the new, top of the line, walk-in mortuary gives the flexibility to store up to nine bodies in a va riety of ways using the new electric hydraulic table. Made in the USA, each cooler goes through extensive quality testing, including test-assembly at the manufacturer to ensure ease and success of self-installation and features the most reliable American-made com pressor systems. "I have been in a lot of morgues, this is a state- of-the-art morgue to service our community and we are very proud of the county's support to attain this equipment," stated Coroner Jeffery Peebles.
