Region Report
Baseball is in its final
week and regional play in
Region 3 is completed as of
tonight. ECI wins the region
with the best overall record
finishing 12-0. It was the
Jenkins County War Eagles
who made the biggest jump
in the last three weeks of
the season and finished in
a tie for second place with
McIntosh County Academy
and Portal.
In the final week of
the season, ECI defeated
Montgomery County in
three games, 15-0, 15-0,
and 16-1. The War Eagles
took 2 out of 3 over MCA
winning 11-4 and 7-5, then
losing 7-4.
Next up for the teams
will be the state playoffs.
The top four teams in the
region will advance to the
tournament, and the top
two teams in each region
will have the advantage
of hosting round 1. At the
present time, ECI is the

Montgomery County 0-12
one seed, and even though
there is a three-way tie for
second, we have heard that
Jenkins County will host
the first round of the state.
We will announce it on the
Facebook page as soon as it
is announced.
The state playoffs are
a best out of three games
series. All three games
would be played at the host
school.

The Jenkins County 12U team sponsored by Southern Container Transfer
traveled to Burke County on Tuesday night where they won 11-8. Left to right
