If you are interested in subscribing to their services or packages, here's what you need to do: 1. Preregister: If you live in the Thrift area of Jenkins County and wish to subscribe to Pineland Communications' services, you need to preregister with them. Preregistration likely involves providing your contact information and address to express your interest in their services. 2. Email Confirmation: After pre-registering, you should receive an email from Pineland Communications. This email will likely inform you that your preregistration was successful and prompt you to "complete your order." 3. Click the Link: In the email, you will find a link to "complete your order." You can click on this link to proceed further. 4. No Log-in Required: The link provided in the email should not require you to log in. It should direct you to a page where you can pick the services or packages you are interested in subscribing to. 5. Select Services/ Packages: On the page you are directed to, you can choose the specific services or packages that you want to subscribe to. This could include internet plans, cable TV packages, phone services, or other offerings from Pineland Communications. 6. New teachers get tour of area By Joe Brady, Editor for The Times New Jenkins County educators were treated to a tour of the local area last Wednesday. “It was rewarding to spend time with the new teachers. It was an exciting and informative experience for everyone involved.” Chamber Director Mandy Underwood said. Exploring the community and learning about Millen and its offerings was a great way to introduce the teachers to the area. Having lunch at Round's On Winthrope, sponsored by Jenkins County Times and Spring Creek Auction Company, added to the enjoyment of the day. “It's wonderful to see local businesses coming together to support educational initiatives and welcome new faculty to the community,” Underwood continued. Jenkins County Medical Center (JCMC) seems to be well-prepared and equipped to handle these urgent cases. They have a qualified team that includes providers, nurses, CT technicians, lab technicians, and respiratory therapists, all working together to provide the best care possible for their patients. JCMC's readiness is evident in the presence of EKG machines and cardiac monitors in each room, which allows them to quickly identify changes in heart rhythms that could indicate a heart attack or acute myocardial infarction. Additionally, having a REACH cart for telemedicine consults with neurologists at Augusta University Medical Center (AUMC) enables them to electronically send CT images for immediate review, allowing for timely decisions on administering clot-busting drugs to stroke patients. “Rural hospitals like JCMC play a critical role in providing medical services to their communities. Without access to a local hospital or emergency department, many patients in rural areas would have limited or no See HEART page 5 JENKINS COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER It’s voter purge time again By Joe Brady, Editor for The Times The state of Georgia is conducting a round of purging from its voter list ahead of next year's elections. A total of 191,473 voters who were previously classified as "inactive" are set to be removed from the rolls. An inactive voter refers to someone whose voter registration information is outdated or who hasn't participated in recent elections. To remove an inactive voter, the county voter registration office sends a notice by mail, and if there is no response within 30 days, the voter's name will be taken off the list. However, if an inactive voter responds to the mailed notice by updating their registration information, they will be allowed to remain on the voter rolls. Jenkins County currently has 126 inactive voters on the list. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger stated that Georgia's See VOTER page 5
