Friday’s auction. Christy won a total of $185. Saturday
night’s winner stuffed $300 into their pockets. Come

Brier Creek
Chapter

The Brier Creek Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the
American Revolution held its monthly meeting, Thursday
night October 5, 2023, at Walls Diner in Sylvania at 7
p.m. With President Wayne Howard presiding, we had 18
in attendance. After the invocation. Pledge of Allegiance
and the Pledge to the SAR, President Wayne introduced
Compatriot Lee Herron to present his program. Lee
spoke about his ancestor, Capt. John "Jack" Jouett who
was a Patriot of the American Revolution and referred
to as the "Paul Revere of the South". President Wayne
then discussed upcoming events, Colby Smith Reunion,
Patriot Joseph Avant's grave marking. Siege of Savannah,
Fort Morris, Wreaths Across America (Dec 16th) and
the Brier Creek Wreaths Across America memorial on
December 17th. President Wayne also mentioned about our
annual Christmas meeting to be held at Compatriot John
Fitzner's Clubhouse on the Brier Creek on Thursday night,
December 7th. Wayne then closed with a prayer and the
SAR Recessional.
