Burke & Sneak to apter K Martin Brier Creek By Dess Smith, Special Contributor to The Times The Brier Creek Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting on Thursday night, November 2, 2023, at Walls Diner at 7:00. With President Wayne Howard presiding, there were 10 in attendance. After the pledge of Allegiance to theU.S. Flag and the pledge to the SAR, Compatriots John Joyner and Lee Herron presented the new Brier Creek Artillery & Militia flag to the Chapter. Every event that the Artillery attends, they will fly the new flag. President Wayne then introduced Compatriots Steve Burke and Bernard Martin to present their program on "Artillery through the Ages". After a very interesting program, President Wayne discussed our upcoming December Christmas meeting to be held at Compatriot John Fitzner's clubhouse right on the banks of Brier Creek and just a few miles from the battlefield. It will be a covered dish supper with all the trimmings. Steve Burke and Bernard Martin are pictured. Photo by Dess Smith. r.
