No Christmas Gift Please

It happened in a faraway
place called Bethlehem
so many years ago,
the greatest love in this
life that you will ever
know was bom.
And we celebrate
this miracle we call
Christmas every year,
he was bom into this
world to save humanity.
It was told to all that
one would come to save
mankind from sin, for all
not just some.
So, everyone waited for
a king, one that sits on a
throne
shouts would be heard,
and trumpets would be
blown.
A promise was made, one
that had to be kept,
baby Jesus was bom and
tears of joy everyone
wept.
What a surprise it must
have been to everyone,
not a king on a throne,
but a babe lain in hay
with stars overhead ana
beside him the animals
did lay..
Joseph and Mary were
chosen to raise our
world’s greatest gift,
God gave us his only son
to come into this world
in the form of a man and
the
Angels said, “Do
not be afraid, I
bring you good
news of great joy that
will be for
all people! “The greatest
love story now begins...
All grown up now and
traveling to and from,
Jesus and his friends
preached all that they
could, performing many
miracles along the way,
He blessed all the
animals, the children and
the weak,
he blessed so many who
could not hear ana those
who could not speak.
He made the blind see
and raised up the dead,
then he fed five thousand
with five fish and two
loaves of bread.
He blessed us all with
the ability to open our
minds and leam,
he blessed us with two
hands so that a dollar we
could earn.
He blessed the
handicapped and walk by
their side,
he even gives vision to
those of us who are blind.
People would follow
Jesus all day long, none
offering a place to lay his
head so on the ground
at night Jesus slept,
and from above the
Father only wept.
Then comes the
end when Jesus
was put on trial,
he was found
guilty then he
saw Peter’s
denial.
Hung on a cross
at Calvary like a
common thief,
everyone saw
darkness as they
saw God’s grief,
Lord, you do so much for
me all through the year,
and each blessing, I hold
very dear.
So please sweet Jesus I
ask of thee,
tell Santa to leave no
gifts under the Christmas
tree for me.
You see Lord, I ‘m
thankful to have a
wonderful family and I
live in a nice home,
but so many of your
children Lord have only
the streets to roam.
They have no family no
warm place to live,

no food to eat, they ask
for nothing but have so
much to give.
They suffer the cold, the
wind and rain,
they just cry hoping it’ll
ease the suffering and
pain.
Lord, I’m already
wealthy beyond my
dreams,
so, Lord tell Santa to
leave no gifts under the
Christmas tree for me.
God gave us all his only
son, Jesus gave his life,
all they ask in return is
that we all live a Godly
life and to be more giving
towards others.
Ask a friend or someone
you know who lives
alone over for a
Christmas meal, help a
pet shelter and take a pet
in over the holidays. .
Give to toys for tots,
volunteer at a soup
kitchen.
Pick a child's name off
the angel giving tree,
give to the salvation
army.
It takes so little to mean
so much, this holiday
spread the cheer.
Ask yourself what would
Jesus do? follow your
heart and answer the call.
