What better way to celebrate
the season than with a deli
cious treat that your kids can
help make like the Easter
Cupcake Jars! This yummy
dessert has beautiful bright
colored cupcakes layered in
between green grassy frost
ing and festive sprinkles,
then topped with an adorable
Chick Peep. With all of this
cuteness in one jar, your
kids are sure to have a little
extra spring in their step this
April!
Easter Cupcake Jars
Items needed:
1 (15-ounce) box White
Cake Mix (plus ingredients
on box)
Cooking with Azure
2 (14-ounce) containers
Fluffy White Whipped Frost
ing
Cupcake Liners
Yellow, Pink, Blue, Purple &
Green Food Coloring
Festive Sprinkles
Chick Peeps
3 (16-ounce) Jars
Ribbon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Fill a muffin pan with cup
cake liners, then set aside.
In a large mixing bowl and
with an electric mixer, beat
together white cake mix and
the other ingredients needed
on the box. Divide the bat
ter between 4 bowls. Stir
the yellow, pink, blue and
purple food coloring into the
batter in separate bowls. Fill
cupcake liners 2/3 of the way
full with the colored batter
and bake on the 3rd (middle)
rack for around 18 minutes
or until a fork comes out
clean in the center. Remove
from oven and let cup
cakes cool completely.
In another bowl, stir
together the fluffy white
whipped frosting and
green food coloring.
Once cupcakes have
cooled, take off the lin
ers. Crumble 1 cupcake
into the bottom of the
jars, then drop green
frosting down in the
center of the jars over
the crumbled cupcake.
With a spoon, carefully
spread the frosting to
the sides of the jar and
over the cake. Add a layer of
festive sprinkles, then repeat
the process with the remain
ing layers. Once your last
cupcake is crumbled, add
green frosting and sprinkles,
then top with an adorable
Chick Peep. Tie a cute rib
bon around the top of the jar
to add the perfect touch to
your Easter treat.
*Please note that
this recipe makes 3
(16-ounce) cupcake
jars. If you would like
to use smaller jars in
stead and have more to
share, use the 8-ounce
jars.

When is the best time
to go fishing? See the
best fishing dates and

Old Farmer’s Almanac’s

The best times to fish
are when the fish are
naturally most active.
The Sun, Moon, tides,
and weather all influ
ence fish activity. For
example, fish tend to
feed more at sunrise and
sunset, and also during
a full moon (when tides
are higher than average).
Best Fishing Times
- One hour before and
one hour after high tides,
and one hour before and
one hour after low tides.
Inland, the times for
high tides correspond
with the times when the
Moon is due south. Low
tides are halfway be
tween high tides.
- During the “morning
rise” (after sunup for a
spell) and the “evening
rise” (just before sun
down and the hour or so
after).
- During the rise and set
of the Moon.
- When the barometer
is steady or on the rise.
(But even during stormy
periods, the fish aren’t
going to give up feeding.
The smart fisherman will
find just the right bait.)
- When there is a hatch
of flies—caddis flies or
mayflies, commonly.
(The fisherman will have
to match his fly with the
hatching flies or go fish
less.)
- When the breeze is
from a westerly quar
ter rather than from the
north or east.
- When the water is still
or slightly rippled, rather
than during a wind.
- However, most of us go
fishing when we can get
the time off, not because
it is the best time!
But there are best fishing

have found is hot dogs
with chicken meat. Cut
them in desired pieces
and set in the sun to
‘dry up’. When they are
‘dried’, they will stay on
the hook better. You can
put them in a bag in the
freezer to keep. Brim
and catfish will bite this
bait.”
- “The best catfish bait
are catalpa worms. You
can put what you don’t
use in the freezer with a
few catalpa tree leaves.
When you are ready to

Georgia does not allow
using tinting film with
any mirrored or metallic
appearance above 20%
for any windows. The
darkest tint limit is 32%
plus or minus 3. Georgia
law restricts the color of
tinted windows as well.
It is illegal to use colors
red or amber.
The percentage of light
that a window tint film
allows to pass through
your car windows is
called VLT (visible light
transmission), the law
changes according to
passenger vehicles and
multi-purpose vehicles.
A higher VLT means
that more light is al
lowed to pass through
the window tint film. For
example, a 75% tint will
allow 75% of the light to
pass through whereas a
5% tint will only allow
5% of the light to pass
through, making the 5%
tint a much darker film.
In Georgia, the legal
tint limit for passenger
vehicles is as follows:
