Page 6 - Wednesday, April 6, 2022 WORDS continued from page 4 honorable, I will be set apart and useful to the Master of the house, God. Here are two takeaways for you today: First, if you want to be On- esimus, useful to God, you can be - but you have to make the decision to separate from anything dishonorable. This means taking time to pray and ask God to reveal any thing dishonorable in your life and heart, and then repent of it - turn from it and leave it behind. Maybe God has even already shown you what is dis honorable to Him in your life that you need to separate from - but you haven't dealt with it, separated from it. While this is going on, maybe you are wondering why God won’t use you in a certain way, or answer a certain desire or goal in your heart. One of my son’s responsibilities is to put a trash bag in the trash can after I take out the trash. If he comes to me and asks to jump on the trampoline, or go out side to play, without putting a new trash bag in the trash can. my answer will be “No. Go and do the thing I asked you to do first, and then we can talk about what’s next.” God sometimes tells us the same thing - “Go and do the thing I told you to do first, then we can talk about what’s next.” Second, being Onesimus means serving with sincerity in my heart. It means having an understanding from my heart that whoever and what ever I am serving, I am ulti mately serving Jesus. Slave or free, young or old, employee or boss, bad paying job or good paying job - I will work with sincerity in my heart and Jesus on my mind! I want to be Onesimus! Let’s pray, “Father, please show me if there is anything dishonorable in my heart and life. Help me to agree with what you show me and sepa rate from it through repen tance. I want to turn from it and leave it behind. Please make me useful to you -1 want to be Onesimus. Give me a sincere heart and help me to remember that whatever I do, it is done for Jesus. In Jesus’s name. Amen.” Zoning Notice The following change to ihc zoning ordinance of Screven CCrfUlty has beer, reijnested: Dale: 03/29/2022 Appl icant/0 wncr of Property Vanguard Farmii/Alejundra M Sfaines &.
