Kesha and Louis Anderson are redefining fine
cuisine, and they are doing it one stop at a time. The
two army veterans started their food tmck, Road-
tisserie, business in April and have a following in
Screven and Bulloch Counties. “It takes time to get
the public out of that mindset of, just because you
see the food tmck, doesn’t mean there’s a carnival in
town,” Kesha explains of the concept.
The neighboring county of Jenkins has had food
tracks for several years and the concept is spreading.
Lou and Kesha have been running their mobile
rotisserie business over two years, having started
in Colorado Springs, CO. “But I wanted to come
home,” Kesha explains, “Lou is from New Jersey and
after discussing it, he agreed to relocate to Sylvania.”
Kesha is a Screven County native and a 1994 SCHS
graduate. Her parents are Ida and Alvin Warren.
Kesha served for 21 years as a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army and Louis was a Sergeant First Class, having served 24 years in the Army.
“Because we have worked together so long, after we retired, we wanted to continue so with my experience in hospitality and Kesha’s in logistics, we decided on the food tmck,” Louis
explains. Anderson graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, and Johnson and Wales. He is widely known for his specialty mbs and sauces. The couple has 8 kids between them.
Road-Tisserie offers whole chickens, half chickens, quarters, and even BBQ chicken wraps. In addition to rotisserie chicken, they offer com casserole, baked beans, and roasted potatoes.
“Our customers can watch our FB page to find out our location and they can also call ahead. We take cash and credit/debit cards as payment,” Kesha explains. The couple also caters
events. “The biggest obstacle we have is finding space,” Kesha says. If you are interested in having the Road-Tisserie track in your parking lot or even in your neighborhood, just give
them a call. Their currently weekly schedule in Sylvania is:
Wednesday - Farmer’s Furniture - 11a.m.-2 p.m. | Thursday - Family Dollar - 3 - 6 p.m.
Friday- Possum Edy- lla.m.-2 p.m. | Saturday- Statesboro Farmer’s Market- 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
“The one ingredient we have that other don’t is love. We treat our customers like family and love what we do.
This is our dream,” Louis surmises. Road-Tisserie may be reached by dialing 912-425-3329.
