the loss of loved ones and
challenges me and my family
go through. I am thankful for
a roof over my head, a floor
beneath my feet, my best
friends and around me that
love me so much and glad
that I was able to accomplish
anything. Remember that
being grateful is about
appreciation.
Zayliih Hagins, 5th Grade
Thanksgiving is important to
me because. It’s a time in place
to see the people you love
that you don’t
see much. It’s a
time when you
can play with the
cousins you don’t
see much because
your parents are
divorced. It’s the
time to see the
people that you
mite not see again.
Thanksgiving
isn’t all about
football or the
turkey or even the delicious
desserts that your nan makes.
It’s about the people around
you that makes thanksgiving
so special. That’s what make
Thanksgiving so warm so
special.
Trip Mullis, 5th Grade
Thanksgiving means to me
that my family comes together
to eat, we play outside, we go
to the store, and get all the
family gifts for thanksgiving.
We have thanksgiving because
the thanksgiving the india see
the wife man and women.
So other pepole celebrate
thanksgiving because the
food, and because my mom let
me see my dad and I thankful
for my mom and my dad
making me and my siblings.
Why my family likes thanking
me is because they see others
and to eat my mom’s food
because she is the best cook in
our family and my family like
to see use and my grandma
can cook too.
Indyria Walker, 5th Grade
This is Cor’Mya and
I’m going to tell you why
Thanksgiving means a lot to
me. Thanksgiving means a lot
to me, because I am thankful
for my family, my amazing
family. Without my family I
wouldn’t be perfect, I wouldn’t
be the person that I would
have been without my family.
I’m thankful for God, without
God or Jesus, we wouldn’t
be here right now. He made
us, he created, and we should
respect him. I’m thanksful for
my friends, without them, I
wouldn’t be laughing, playing.
They are real friends that
help and care about people.
And they make me feel good
about myself. I’m thankful for
my teachers, and principals,
because without them, how
would we learn, how would be
know how to do things. How
would we know right from
wrong, and wrong from right.
We need them to solve things
and fix things. Without them
we wouldn’t know anything.
And how would we get our
education, and go college.
That is how important they
are to me. I’m thankful that
we have bus drivers. Without
them, how would we go home
and get home safe. And I’m
thankful that I have a roof over
my head, I would be outside.
Sleeping on the ground, when
it’s cold outside. Without
food, or a drink. Looking poor.
But don’t you feel bad for the
homeless people? People just
walk by them and say mean
things about them. How
would you feel if you were
homeless. There are a lot of
homeless people out that need
help. I’m thankful that I have
clothes, and shoes. Without
them, I would be cold, and
without my shoes, my foot
would have cuts on it. Have
you wondered, how would
you feel if you had none of
this. But it is a blessing that
we have this, but some people
don’t have this. So stay out of
trouble and do the right thing.
So that is why thanksgiving
means a lot to me. Always
remember to let love lead the
way. Happy Thanksgiving.
Cor ’Mya Lockett, 5th Grade
Thanksgiving means a lot
to me. It means a time to be
grateful, blessed and to have
fun with my family. And
spend a bunch of time with
each other. My favorite part
of Thanksgiving is the food
we may not have everything
we want, but we still have
love, and that is all we need.

time we spend together. I am
thankful for my clothes, god,
food and living in a house.
Another things that it means
to me is because it’s a time
we can all remember. Another
thing it means to me is that
you have to be thankful for
what you have most of the
time because people don’t
have what you got. And it
means to me because it helps
us understand others better. I
am thankful for the world and
my education. You have to be
thankful for that because back
then people
didn’t have
education. You
can’t always
have what you
want but you
also can have
what you need.
I am thankful
for what I need

coming together, grateful, and
having fun. You should never
be ungrateful. You may not
have nicer things than people
but that does not mean to
be ungrateful. So always be
grateful for everything you
have because some people
don’t even have a home or
anything to eat. So that is
what Thanksgiving means
to me. And I should always
be grateful because I know
I don’t have everything but I
have everything I need and a
family to love.

Thanksgiving is so much fun
to me. I love spending time
with my family. It’s so much
fun. My favorite thing about
Thanksgiving is spending time
with my family and the food.
My aunt’s macaroni cheese is
so good. I wish my Papa and
Grandma were still here but
they moved away but, I will
still have fun. I’m making
Papa’s cake coconut cake,
and my mom is coming to see
me. I’m so excited to see her!
She makes the best food ever
for Thanksgiving. How do
you celebrate Thanksgiving.
I love it so much, the food,
my family I love it. We all
do things differently but we
all love each other and have a
good thanksgiving.
Alexis Doty, 5th Grade
I am thankful for my family,
teachers, God and Jesus. I am
thankful for God for making
me and my family. Jesus and
God are amazing, they are the
best. They are good to have in
your life because they made
you. My family is another
thing that I am grateful for
this Thanksgiving. They love
me and we have so much fun
together when we go to the
beach, we go camping, we
go hunting and we go fishing
together. They are great
people and they love me so
much. I am thankful to have
my family in my life they are
so nice. My teachers are so
nice they are so good to have.
I am thankful to have them
because they are funny. They
help me with anything I need
help with. I make good grades
because they are so nice. They
help me with stuff if I need it.

Thanksgiving is all about why
we give thanks to God. The
first thing I am thankful for
is God because he made the
earth. He
made the
earth in the
beginning
of time.
God
made the
heavens
and the
earth with
his voice
and then
he made
us. I’m
especially thankful for my
family because they care for
me, and they gave me shelter,
food, and water. They buy me
clothes and take me places that
cost a lot of money. Family
makes sure I am good, and
they love me. In conclusion,
I am grateful for many things.
To me, Thanksgiving is a
special day and a holiday that
I enjoy.

Shepard and a hamster and a
fish. We eat turky and ham and

Thanksgiving means a lot to
me. I am thankful for family,
friends, cousins, aunties,
and God. I’m thankful for
food, a house, clothes, mom,
and dad. Also, I am thankful
for everyone, including my
teachers Mr. Kirkland and
Ms. Gonya. Thanksgiving is
my favorite holiday because
I can see my family that lives
far away from me. I live in
Sylvania, but they live in
Savannah. My mom said on
Thanksgiving we are going
to see them at my aunt and
uncle’s house. We will eat
turkey, mashed potatoes,
macaroni and cheese, and
some cake. All the kids will
play. Thanksgiving is an
important holiday that is all
about family.
Esmerelda Waters
Thanksgiving means many
things to me. First of all, it

To me, Thanksgiving
means I get to spend
time with my family and
friends. First, we start
shredding the cheese for
our mak and cheese and
then watch the Macy’s
Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Next, we go over to minis
and deep fry a turkey
and my favorite thing to
eat is brown rice. We eat
thanksgiving luch at my
Mims house then me and
my cousins play outside.
Finally, we go home and
take a nap and then we
make the rest of the mac
and cheese and go to my
aunt Brooke’s house and
eat dinner at there house
for thanksgiving dinner
after we are done eating
we go out and play then
we go home and go to bed.

Thanksgiving is one of my
favorite times of the year.
It is a time when I can be
thankful for many things,
including, family, food
and faith. I enjoy spending
time with my family on
that day. We can together
and enjoy each other’s
company. I enjoy going to
my grandparents’ house.
While there I am able
to play games, ride my
dirt bike, and explore the
woods with my cousins.
A good time is had by all.
Another thing I enjoy at
Thanksgiving is the food.
Each family always brings
their favorite Thanksgiving
foods. Of course, we have
turkey, ham, dressing,
sweet potatoes souffle,
cranberry sauce, and a
smorgasbord of desserts!
I always eat too much!
Finally, the thing that I'm
most thankful for is my
faith. Just as the most
important thing to the
Pilgrims was their faith,
being thankful that God
gave His one and only
Son for me is the thing
I am most thankful for.
Knowing that I have His
support in my life is what’s
most important. So family,
food, and faith are what
Thanksgiving means to
me.

What thanks giving
means is spending time
with the family you were
blessed with. It also
means eating really good
food. Thanksgiving is
a gathering time when
you get a chance to see
most of your family. It
warms peoples hearts to
be with theire family. My
favorite thing to eat at
thanks giving is turkey and
pumkin pie. I always go to
my grandma’s house. She
makes the best food ever.
Thanks giving is a great
time to talk to your family,
and tell them
how much
ou love
