Pollock/Hall What Thanksgiving means to me is that, you can spend time with your family and friends, eat the best food you can ever eat and on Thanksgiving day you have to go and buy the stuff you need. What thanksgiving means to me is that, you can spend time with your family and friends. Another reason is that you get to have the best time in your live. Also you get to have family game time after eating dinner. This is why I love spending time with family and friends. Another reason, you get to eat turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and other foods. One more reason is you can eat and have a fun while eating the best food you ever tasted. Also on this day you get to help put the food on the table. Also on this day you get to go to the grocery store and buy some food to eat. Another reason you can pick out the best food you would like to prepare. One more reason after you buy it you can cook it and that will be the best. In conclusion, this is why Thanksgiving means to me and what it is like on Thanksgiving. Rodnasia Morris, 5th Grade Thanksgiving is important because I get to see all my friends, family, and cousins, and after we eat we get to go outside and play. Another thing is that we get to talk so loud and also me and my cousin get to stay at my grandparents’ house the whole week. Also, the turkey and all the rest of the food is good. When we are getting done with all that food, me and my cousins go on a long dirt road and ride four wheeler and dirt bikes. After that we go take a shower and then get everybody to dance. At night, we lay in our beds and play the games until 12:35. Then we go to bed so we can get some sleep. And then we get up and eat leftovers. Patrick Parker, 5th Grade Thanksgiving means a lot to me because you can talk to family and friends and spend time with family. You can give food to homeless people. You eat a lot of food and spend time with cousins and catch up with family and cousins and talk about life. The best part is Thanksgiving is in the month of November. You get to eat your favorite food and you get to eat turkey ham, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, dressing and chicken (sometimes rice and gravy). Plus who doesn’t love Thanksgiving? The main reason I love Thanksgiving is because of pumpkin pie. The third thing I love about Thanksgiving is every time we get done the leftover food. The reason why I love Thanksgiving so much is because of my mom’s cooking and my Gam’s secret recipe to her pumpkin pie. It is always so good, so that’s what Thanksgiving means to me. Mario Walker, 5th Grade In my opinion. Thanksgiving has a lot of meanings to it. Like eating Thanksgiving food with family and friends. Savoring moments that you had with loved ones. Spending quality time with loved ones. Cooking food for family and friends is a nice gesture on Thanksgiving. Sitting down and eating your traditional Thanksgiving foods with loved ones is a good way of spending time together and cherishing the great food you are eating. Helping your parents cook Thanksgiving is a great way to spend time with them and it get the job done faster. Having a family cookout also is a great way to communicate with your family members especially if they are new to the family. Spending time with family is the most important to me on Thanksgiving. Going out and doing things with family is a good way to spend time with family and have a great time. Maybe go out to a restaurant. That could be a great way to go out to eat and maybe get some free desserts! Getting loved one gifts could be a great way to show how thankful you are for them. Maybe get them something they have been wanting for a long time or you could make something for them. I have always been told that gifts that are made from yourself are full of love and hard work. Savoring moments with your family is my most favorite things to do Thanksgiving. Having a nice talk about your memorable moments with your family is a good way to bring back the memories over the years. You could talk about moments that go back to when you were a baby or maybe a toddler. Just talking about anything old brings back nostalgia. In conclusion. Thanksgiving has a lot of meaning to it. But these are specific ones that stand out to me. Having a nice dinner with loved ones. Savoring moments that you have with your family. Spending quality time with loved one. This is what Thanksgiving means to me. Niyema McCrea-Perry Thanksgiving means a lot to me and reading this you could find out what it means to me. People can have different opinions on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving could even mean nothing to some people, but Thanksgiving means different things to different people. To me. Thanksgiving is a great time to spend time with family and friends. Another great thing to do on Thanksgiving is “Family Bonding”. Family Bonding is very good for mental health, it also encourages you to make friends and be an active person. Family bonding is also good for your self esteem. Having a high self esteem makes you confident and fearless. You would be a person of your word and very confident in everything you do. Another great fact about ‘Family bonding” is that it would cause you to be very energetic, in other words, you would keep your chin up and be very confident in what you are doing and what you say. Family bonding can also build trust. Trust can also bring strong relationships between family members. That can cure trust issues between families. Another thing about Thanksgiving is that you can play games with your family and friends. Things like tag, hide and seek, solve puzzles, and play board games or family games that were made up by cousins, aunts, or even your parents a long time ago. Games are fun, especially on Thanksgiving. Some families even have traditions. A tradition is something you do every year with your family members. Some traditions are to do bible study, family games, pie in the face, and much more! Some families gather up and have this big tradition to do fireworks or even go to arcades. Another thing families do on Thanksgiving is make food so members of the family can eat and enjoy. Some people in the family even rate the food. People can even learn how to cook on thanksgiving. Cooking can relieve stress, help you get better, and more. Ny’Asia Adams, 5th Grade To many people Thanksgiving means relaxing or staying home from school. But to me Thanksgiving means more than that mainly because you can get together with family, and friends, show how much you care about people, and talk over a family dinner. When I think of Thanksgiving I think of getting together with family. Once a year my family in Florida and Atlanta come together in Georgia and play Com Hole, Wii, and play board games like Spot it, Monopoly, Pay Day and Left Right Center. It is also fun time to play badminton and pickleball. When I think of Thanksgiving I also think about sharing how much you care about people. On Thanksgiving all of my sisters clean the house for my parents, make homemade cards and rake the yard and pick up pecans so my dad can mow the lawn. I also let my parents sleep in and make pancakes for breakfast. To me Thanksgiving also means talking over a family dinner. In the afternoon I go over to my grandma’s house to help her make dinner. We usually make dressing, pork chops, rice, beans, cookies and the greatest of all turkey. When we are done cooking we set up the table and eat. In conclusion, the meaning of Thanksgiving in my opinion is that you get together with family, and friends, show how much you care about people and talk over a family dinner. Zoey Lee, 5th Grade There are many ways Thanksgiving makes me feel special. And those things that make me feel special are the things I cherish most. So today I’m going to be telling you how Thanksgiving is way more than just a holiday to me. One of the biggest parts of Thanksgiving for me is all my family coming to my house, and we share the things that are going on in our lives. And while my family is here we can play games and spend time with each other. My family is a really big part of Thanksgiving for me because they’re always there for me and they will always love me. For Thanksgiving my mom will cook a big turkey and make different sides to go with it. And my grandma will make all kinds of casseroles. All of that delicious food makes me feel so loved and thankful. Having a family that loves me is something that I am so thankful for, and Thanksgiving is a big reminder. Thanksgiving means that you should be thankful for everything you have because a lot of people are living on the streets with no food or family. Thanksgiving is a time for me to realize how lucky I am to have all that I have. All of our fall decorations make me feel so warm and happy. You don’t want to start drama around people that you haven’t seen in a long time so you want do the best you can while they’re there because you don’t know when there doing to leave Earth and go to heaven. Thanksgiving also means sharing with people you don’t even know like the homeless if they do not have anything to eat for thanksgiving you should be nice and loving and give them food because thanksgiving in about sharing too. Being loved by your loved one’s feels heart warming if you been rude to that person and you have been holding hatred inside of you you need to let it out so you don’t end up with the devil. Being thankful means a lot to people because it makes that person feel loved and grateful that they have you because you are so loving, kind and generous. Love each and everyone that’s around you or people that are in heaven. Be grateful for your family. friends, and people around you without our king it would not be no people, and no Earth. On thanksgiving my parents cook pumpkin pies or pecan pies ham or turkey mash potatoes or hot potatoes green beans and baked beans. We play tag, dodgeball or just sit around and talk. We drive buggies around the fields and yard at night we would have a fire and cook marshmallows. But sometimes we don’t have them at our house, sometimes we have it at my grandparents house. My grandma cooks turkey or ham and cook green been casserole but of course she cooks chicken and fries if some of us don’t want turkey or healthy stuff. My grandparents will do anything to make us happen. But in conclusion no matter where you are you can celebrate together and be thankful and grateful for everything you have on thanksgiving not everything in life is just a piece of cake so things on the table you can be grateful for what you have. Camden Mock What does Thanksgiving mean to me? Well actually it means a lot me. Some people think it’s not that important and other people actually know or think it’s important but I think it is really important because I get to be close to my family and that’s the most important thing I could wish for. Could also be grateful for the food we have and that was provided for us and the close we have, the shelter we have, and the nature we got, friends, family, cusisines, grandpa, and grandmas there are other things im grateful for but there are to many of them to w rite about and my paragraph would be about a whole like. I will say that my best friends are Morgan, Edriana, Arria, Aaliya, Mia and Sid but more important than that not trying to be rude is what God provided for us, and everything he gave us the turkey, dessert, pineapple casserole, macaroni and treats so that is what thanksgiving means to me. And be grateful for what you have because other people may want that same thing you have and they can’t have it so easily like other people. People should give thanks to their parents, guardians and all of their family for gifts, treats and thankfulness.
