Freya make the
most memorable
moment at a
wedding
You all are going to love this
story about my friend, Freya. We
all know, weddings are about love,
sure, but after that, they’re all about
commemorating the event through pictures that will capture
the couple’s special day.
Now, my friend, Freya decided to do just that when her
human parents brought her to their wedding. She was an
adorable usher, adorned with a white bow tie and a little
gray and white dress that had frills at the neck, but then, in
the middle of the ceremony, nature called and she decided
right then and there to do what all ofus dogs do: She pooped
on the lawn. Yes, right there in front of the entire guests.
And then to top it all off, the photographer accidentally
captured the event mid-squat, as Freya was framed by the
bridal party.
People thought it was hilarious and gave her a round of
applause when she finished her business. Not to mention,
they all wanted a remembrance of the wedding, and ordered
a copy of the photo. All of us dogs love to make things
better for sure. Way to go Freya! Around of a-paws to you!

The Skinny on
Fatty Liver
Fatty liver disease is a
condition characterized by
the accumulation of fat in
liver cells. It's a growing concern worldwide, linked
to various factors such as obesity, high cholesterol,
diabetes, and excessive alcohol consumption. There are
two main types: alcoholic fatty liver disease (AFLD)
and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). AFLD
occurs due to excessive alcohol consumption, and
NAFLD develops in individuals who don't consume
excessive alcohol. Factors include obesity, insulin
resistance, high blood sugar, and high levels of fats
in the blood. Fatty liver is mainly asymptomatic in
the early and often even later stages. A significant
concern is the risk for cirrhosis, which can occur after
years of decades of fatty liver. As cirrhosis develops,
individuals may experience an array of symptoms,
including fatigue, abdominal discomfort, fluid
retention, stomach bleeding, easy bruising, confusion,
and jaundice. Blood tests, imaging studies (ultrasound,
CT scan, MRI), and sometimes a liver biopsy may be
required for accurate diagnosis.
Fatty liver is often preventable or manageable through
lifestyle modifications. Adopting a healthy lifestyle
with a few changes is important for liver health and
overall well-being. A balanced, healthy diet low in
saturated fats, sugars, and refined carbohydrates.
Emphasize fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean
proteins. Regular physical activity can help reduce
liver fat and improve overall health. A goal of at least
150 minutes of moderate exercise per week is suitable
for most people. Weight management by losing excess
weight, if overweight or obese, is crucial in managing
NAFLD. Minimizing or eliminating alcohol intake is
essential for both types of fatty liver. Lifestyle change
is the primary treatment for fatty liver; however, some
medications can help. Always consult healthcare
professionals for personalized advice and guidance in
managing fatty liver disease.
