Chaos Erupts in
Newington: Violent
Domestic Dispute
Leads to Arrests
Bv Joe Brady, Editor
for
The Times
A seemingly ordinary evening
on Walton Street in Newington
took a drastic turn when the
Screven County Sheriffs Office
responded to a call reporting
a disturbance on the night of
January 3, 2024. Residents
reported an individual outside
breaking windows and potentially
attempting to make entry into
a residence. Deputies arrived
promptly, securing the area, but
found no suspects. Instead, they
discovered two injured females
inside the residence - one with
lacerations to her hand and the
other with numerous stab and
puncture wounds.
As the investigation unfolded,
it was revealed that the incident
was part of a larger and disturbing
domestic dispute involving Dallas
Jiaues Maynor, Melony Brinkley,
and Madison Maynor.
Earlier in the day, Melony
Brinkley had engaged in a verbal
argument with Dallas Maynor
at a residence on Industrial
Blvd, expressing her discontent
over Dallas's new relationship.
The dispute escalated, leading
to Melony leaving the scene.
Later that evening, Melony,
accompanied by her younger
sister Madison Maynor, returned
to the Industrial Blvd location.
Using items found in the yard,
such as bricks and sticks, they
inflicted significant damage to a
2020 Nissan Versa, belonging to
Dallas Maynor's new girlfriend.
Meanwhile, a physical
altercation erupted on a nearby
basketball court involving a
minor female sibling of Dallas
and Madison. During the fight,
Dallas Maynor allegedly stabbed
Madison multiple times in the
back, causing severe puncture
wounds.
