Adams arrested by the Bulloch
County Sheriff’s Office
According to a press release issued by the Bulloch
County Sheriff’sOffice.thesequenceofeventsunfolded
on February 21 in Statesboro when K9 Deputies and
the Crime Suppression Team Investigators pulled
over a vehicle driven by Richard Adams for a traffic
violation. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities
discovered illegal weapons and tools indicative of
motor vehicle

In addition to the possession of numerous
unlawful weapons and tools designed for
theft and unlawful entry into vehicles,
investigators also uncovered a distribution
amount of cocaine in Adams’ possession.
The subsequent arrest saw Adams escorted
to the Bulloch County Jail, where he faces
an array of charges, including Criminal
Use of an Article with an altered ID mark,
Possession of tools for the commission of
a crime, Possession with intent of cocaine,
Possession and use of drug-related objects,
Theft by receiving stolen property (felony),
and unlawful possession of firearms,
including a machine gun.
However, the investigation didn’t end
with Adams’ apprehension. Further scrutiny
revealed that Adams may have been involved in a string
of motor vehicle thefts across various jurisdictions. The
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office is now collaborating
with authorities from these jurisdictions to aid in their
investigations into motor vehicle thefts.
Authorities urge anyone with information related
to Adams’ activities or any additional information
theft. pertinent to the case to come forward and assist in the
ongoing investigation.

In a significant move towards enhancing the city's infrastructure, the
City of Sylvania has officially granted the first Transportation Special
Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (T-SPLOST) project to Sikes Brothers,
Inc., totaling a substantial $537,683.25. The project aims to address
critical improvements across key thoroughfares, marking a pivotal step
forward for the community.
The scope of the project encompasses several essential areas,
including Pine Street, extending from West Ogeechee to Cherry, Millen
Road spanning from Mims Rd to Westchester Place, Singleton Avenue
from Ridgecrest to North Main, and Westchester Place from WT
Sharpe to Singleton.
Mayor Dees expressed his enthusiasm for the impending
enhancements, stating, "We are excited to see these much-needed
improvements coming to fruition. This achievement could not have
been possible without the support and confidence of the voters in our

The festivities kick off on March 30 with a parade, accompanied by
the Chicken Q, cooked, and sold by the Screven County Livestock
Association.
The main shows commence on:
