Butterfly Festival
Saturday, Aug. 17, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. — The
Dunwoody Nature Center holds its annual Butterfly
Festival. This year’s event has twice as many butter
flies with two tents, and also features games, crafts,
animal encounters and discovery stations. Partici
pate in a nature scavenger hunt and find hidden trea
sures within Dunwoody Park. Get your face paint
ed like a butterfly, enjoy live music, a Birds of Prey
show, and other entertainment. On-site concessions

a ranger! Bring your own canoe or kayak and join a
park ranger for a leisurely float through the Palisades, a
section of the Chattahoochee River. As twilight fades,
you will load your boat and depart the park just as

Walk, Wag, N’ Run

the Walk, Wag, N’ Run to help the human and an

and Walk for Epilepsy
features a 5k run and
1 mile walk in honor
of those effected by
epilepsy across the
state. Held annually at
Perimeter Mall, the event
brings awareness to
epilepsy and the Epilepsy
Foundation of Georgia. Last year’s event brought out over 1200 people! All funds raised
benefit EFGA’s programs, including education, camps, medication assistance and
