ARRESTS
■ 6100 block of Roswell
Road - A patrol unit spotted
a man in the middle of the
street. The man was stum
bling. He was unhurt, but
very drunk. He was arrested.
Do we arrest every drunk
en person we come in contact
with? If they’re driving, yes.
Walking? Not always. It de
pends. If someone can be con
tacted to come and get the person then we
will try that. If the drunken condition pres
ents a danger to him, her or others, we will
probably arrest the person to keep him or her
from doing something tragically stupid later.
Keep in mind that many times, drunken folks
talk themselves into jail. Attitude is every
thing. Try to stay off Roswell Road and you’ll
be ahead of the game.
