ney Wendell Willard researched the is
sue after Councilman Tibby Dejulio
and Councilwoman Karen Meinzen-
McEnerny questioned the reappoint
ment during a January City Council
meeting.
Willard concluded that Ruben-
stein could continue to serve, but “he
would be limited by the ordinance to
work he can do for the city, not to ex
ceed $2,500.”
Rubenstein decided to resign from
the commission. Galambos said Pond
resigned after Willard issued his opin
ion about the ethics ordinance.
Galambos appointed Andy Porter,
currently a member of the city Design
Review Board, to replace Pond. She
then appointed Lisa Bartlett, owner of
Gramma B’s home and garden store,
to replace Porter on the Design Re
view Board.
City Council unanimously ap
proved both appointments.
Police work as
waiters for Georgia
Special Olympics
For the third year, Sandy Springs
police will again be serving food and
drinks to raise money for Georgia Spe
cial Olympics.
Officers will staff the Flying Biscuit
Restaurant, 5975 Roswell Road, on
April 19 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Their
tips will go to Georgia Special Olym
pics.
Last year, the event raised over
$7,000, police said.

sider running for the Congressional seat
Gingrey is vacating. Lindsey said in a
March 27 email to constituents that he
would talk with his family after the Leg
islature recessed for the year to decide
whether or not he should run.
