of justice center, July 7

the historic groundbreaking of the
Carroll County Judicial Center on
Wednesday, July 7th, 6:00 p.m.
The groundbreaking event will
be held at the Carroll County
Courthouse, downtown Carrollton.
“Sounds of Liberty”
Sunday evening, July 4
The 2010 “Sounds of Liberty
Concert”, a patriotic presentation
by the Carrollton Symphony
Orchestra, will take place July 4th
in front of the Carrollton
Elementary School. The presenta
tion will begin at 8:15 p.m., and
will serve as a prelude to a mag
nificent fireworks display pre
sented by the Carrollton Area
Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Despite opposition from three
Carroll County commissioners, the
county’s governing body, the board
of commissioners, approved the
budget for fiscal year 2011 on June
28th.
Voting against the measure ~

Carroll County Water Authority
unanimously accepted the budget as
proposed by Executive Director
Matt Windom at the June meeting
held on June 17, 2010 at the County
Annex. CCWA employees will be
offered a choice of a PPO plan or a
POS plan for medical insurance.
Both plans are through Blue
Cross/Blue Shield. The deductible
for the PPO plan is $2,000.00,
while the deductible for the POS

The Carrollton/Carroll

Villa Rica Parks and Recreation
