During this stormy season, West Georgia Ambulance would like to
remind you of a few safety tips and ideas to help keep you safe in the
event of inclement weather and possible power outages:
pi?© qki a
• Keep flashlights with good batteries ready and easily accessible.
• Refill all mandatory prescriptions including diabetic supplies, oxygen needs and regulators. Have enough on hand
to last for a week.
• Keep a small first aid kit stocked and easily accessible.
• Keep a transistor radio with good batteries in the event of power outages.
• Don’t forget your pets - bring them indoors and make sure they have food.
• Set up a buddy list to call and check on your family and friends, shut-ins or elderly, once the storm subsides.
• Keep bread and non perishable items such as peanut butter and water on hand. Have enough for your
family for a few days.
• Stay informed by watching the weather and listening to your local radio stations.
