While many candidates are running unop posed, others are facing several challengers. In the race for Carrollton City Council seats, Mike Patterson, incumbent for Ward 2 and a local real estate salesman, is facing two opponents: Don McKenzie and Wes Phillips. McKenzie is a retiree and Phillips is the owner of Phillips Paint and Body Shop.
