At the Carroll County Board of
Education meeting held Thursday,
March 19, 2015, the board voted to
move money from the General Fund,
specifically “Instruction”, to put
towards buying land for an E-SPLOST
project.
Voting to approve this transfer of
funds were board members Dr. Jon
Anderson, Donald Nixon, Denise
Askin Pate (who voted through Skype
from Dubai), Chris Gammon, and Rob

a Complaint for Damages against the City of
Temple; Mayor Lester Harmon, Council
Members Howard Walden and Penny
Ransom, Deborah McIntosh, in their official
and individual capacity; along with citizens
Linda Walden and Dawn Adkins, in Superior
Court on March 30, 2015. This civil action is

Temple hires another
temporary city manager

Carter Crawford began as interim city
administrator for the City of Temple on
March 23rd, and plans to serve four to six
months. He replaced Jim Baxley who was
temporary city manager for several months
