Annual sales for the company have tripled to
more than $5 billion over the last 15 years

Southwire Company of Carrollton, North America’s leading
manufacturer or wire and cable used in the distribution and
transmission of electricity, was saying goodbye to Chief
Executive Officer Stu Thom and welcoming incoming president
and soon-to-be CEO Rich Stinson at their annual Business
Update Presentation on Thursday, October 29, 2015. The event
was held at the Carrollton Cultural Arts Center in Carrollton. In
keeping with Southwire’s policy of community involvement,
business leaders, educators, environmentalists, and media were
all in attendance.

Special Election reveal two runoffs, a
couple of landslide victories, and sev

A runoff will be needed to decide
who will win a term as mayor for the
city of Carrollton, with Mike Patterson
receiving 1,013 votes, or 39.65 percent,
and Walt Hollingsworth receiving 818
votes, or 32.02 percent of the vote. In a
