Mix joins Senator Mike Crane (R-GA) and West Point Mayor Drew in the race. Westmoreland is not seeking re-election. Mix graduated from the University of Georgia with a Business Degree in 1986. After graduation from UGA, he worked in the National Accounts Department in the beverage industry and as a Corporate Account Manager for Dun & Bradstreet. Mix then left the corporate world and founded Pit Stop Sanitation Services in Hiram before leaving for Hollywood to pursue film production. While in California, he executive produced a film featuring Bryan Cranston, John Ritter, and David Delouise among others. He then returned to the Atlanta area where he was President/CEO of Mix International Media and worked to bring the film industry back to Georgia. In 2008, he executive produced the feature film CONJURER, starring John Schneider. Richard later co-produced a DUKES OF HAZZARD 30th Anniversary special with Schneider before leaving the film industry to pursue his interest in vintage toys and collectibles. He relocated to Newnan in 2012 where he and his wife, Kelli, own and operate Full Circle Toys. Mix describes himself as a concerned citizen, not part of the political machine, and someone in tune with the needs and desires of the people. ‘T am a businessman, a father of two teenage daughters, and a citizen that is concerned about the direction the country is headed. Traveling to more than 40 countries has given me a unique perspective on the concerns of our country. When you look at the current state of affairs in the U.S., it is quite obvious that it is time for a change. As a well-rounded, seasoned businessman, I am the clear choice for positive change.” Mix has pledged transparency and accessibility. He stated ”1 want to hear from people. I want to know their concerns and then- ideas, and I will carry the causes of this district to Washington, DC.” Senator Mike Crane has announced his cam paign team in his race to succeed Congressman Lynn Westmoreland in Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District. “Our country is at a tipping point. The only thing that will change the tide is electing principled, con stitutional conservatives who will make the tough decisions.
