Villa Rica interim city
manager resigns
Jackson resigns after allegations of rejecting
black candidates applications for city manager job

Chief of Police Michael Mansour is once again
occupying the seat of interim city manager of Villa Rica,
while the search continues for a person to fill the position
permanently. The interim city manager, Mike Jackson,
resigned the position after only one month on the job:
February 28th - March 28th. Jackson had been hired as
interim city manager until a permanent one was found, a

Keep Carroll Beautiful (KCB) hosted
a “Litter Law Enforcement” workshop
and luncheon on Wednesday, March
29th for area law enforcement and
others who are interested in reducing
the negative impact of litter in the West
Georgia area communities. The half day
workshop was held in the Carroll
County E911 center, Carrollton. There
were just at 35 attendees including

branding research”

Carrollton City Hall, Wednesday,
March 22, 2017, 4:00 p.m., April

Maggie Worth of WheatGerm LLC
reported summary results of the City of
Carrollton’s community branding pro
ject’s research phase.
This first stage of the project, which
is critical to the development of a genu
ine, relevant brand, began with an
extensive review of City plans, market
ing materials, websites, and documents,
followed by a series of meetings with
key stakeholder groups, in which a total
of 12 City employees and elected offi
cials participated. The consultants then
organized seven focus groups, com
prised of more than 55 participants,
which included community members,
small business owners, and college stu
