Shown right with Jackson is chamber chair Jay Gill. f Carroll Cc Chamber On the afternoon of Tuesday, July 13, 2021, the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce hosted a retirement reception honoring Daniel Jackson, who retired in March. It was standing room only at the chamber’s office on Northside Drive, as several area notables spoke to the crowded room (and those standing in an adjoining hallway) on Jackson’s record that spanned two decades. He was president and CEO of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Tomorrow. During his watch, some of the county’s largest employers located in the area. He also assisted in the opening of The Burson Center, one of the state’s first small business incubators. Chamber hosts special event to honor Daniel Jackson, CEO and president, chamber/Carroll Tomorrow on his retirement Growing Business in our Communih Previous to the chamber job, he was co-owner of The Squire Shop in Carrollton, and had worked at Carroll EMC. Jackson has lived in Carrollton for 50 years with his wife Carol. He said they will continue to live in Carrollton, traveling and volunteering.
