Mr. Frankie Blackmon Mr. Johnny Frank (Frankie) Blackmon, Jr., age 55. °f Thomaston, passed away June 9, 2021 at his home. He was born Oct. 4, 1965, grew up in Barnes ville, son of the late Johnny Frank Blackmon, Sr. and Rita Angela White Black mon. Frankie worked in construction most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and the outdoors. He was the best hearted person and would give you the shirt off his back and help anyone in need. In addition to his par ents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Amy Moore, and his Granny White. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Blackmon; chil dren, Ashley Brook Black mon, James Wyatt Blackmon (Mallory), and Jason Witcomb; grandchil dren, Jacob John Blackmon and Griffin Carson Wit- comb; brothers, Richard Edward Blackmon and Robert Dallas Blackmon (Laurie), all of Forsyth; sisters, Denice Aley of Thomaston and Debbie Campbell (Larry) of Barnes ville; and nieces and nephews, Bailey Blackmon, Austin Blackmon, Levi Aley, Courtney Jiles, Dustin Campbell, and Brandi Brady. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 13, in the chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Interment followed in Crystal Hill Cemetery. Mr. David Martin "Marty" Hammock Mr. David Martin "Marty" Hammock, age 62, of Thomaston, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Hammock was born July 13, 1958, in Thomas ton, to the late Samuel Hammock and the late Marie Keen Hammock. He worked for the Georgia De partment of Corrections for 27 years, and was a butcher for 30 years. After retire ment he worked at Upson Regional Medical Center as a security guard, and was a member of Christ Chapel. In addition to his par ents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Hammock; and mother and father-in-law, Harris and Marlene Middlebrooks. Survivors include his wife, Gail Harris Hammock of Thomaston; daughter, Mandy (Brock) Jackson of Thomaston; son, Brian (Lisa) Hammock of Molena; and six grandchil dren. Mr. Charlie Louis Prater Mr. Charlie Louis Prater, age 84, of Longview Loop in Thomaston, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Mr. Prater leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Mildred Prater of Thomaston; two children, Angela (Christopher) Lock hart of LaGrange and Jef fery (Monica) Prater of Thomaston; two grandchil dren; and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. Mrs. Vicki Paramore Sullivan Mrs. Vicki Paramore Sullivan, age 84, went home to her Heavenly Father May 27, 2021. She passed at her residence in Thomaston, surrounded by the love and gratitude of those she cher ished. Mrs. Sullivan was born in Thomaston March 2, 1937 to the late Lewis Albert (Bud) Paramore and the late Thelma MacMillan Paramore. She graduated salutatorian of Yatesville High School's Class of 1954 where she was known as a scrappy, star player of their award-winning basketball team. After briefly attend ing Gordon College, she began her life's work in var ious areas of office manage ment. In 1956, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Franklin Sullivan. To gether they built a good life and raised four daughters in an active and happy family. Her girls were her life, moving aside only at the appearance of her be loved grandchildren. Some people are just born to be the center of fun, and that was her lot in life. If there was currently no fun to be found, she imme diately set about stirring some up - to the delight of her grands and great- grands. She was a comforter extraordinaire, a source of strength, calm and clarity, and a sure and reliable en- courager whenever uplift ing was needed. After retirement from the Georgia Department of Transportation, her final years overflowed with the treasures she loved best: family, friends, poetry, flowers, cooking and travel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Dorris and Billie Jolynn Paramore; and one brother Lewis A. (Buddy) Paramore. She is survived by four daughters and spouses, Hope (Scott) Blackstock, Beth (Neal) Trice, Jill (Glenn) Jarrell, all of Thomaston, and Gale (Scott) Wilson of Elberton; seven grandchildren, Justis Blackstock, Wynn (Be thany) Trice, Tori Trice, Sam Jarrell, Madeline Jar rell, Jacob Wilson, and Jed Wilson; and three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Wyndsor, and Eleanor Vic toria Trice. The family is deeply grateful to Thomaston Hos pice for their loving care and assistance. Private graveside me morial services were held in the Trice Cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth Colleen Taylor Mrs. Elizabeth Colleen Taylor, age 96, of Thomaston, died Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Taylor was bom June 23, 1924 in Gastonia, N.C. to the late Cola Arnold Moore and the late Mary Lee Gaskins Moore. She worked as a switchboard operator for Upson Regional Medical Center for many years and was a member of Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Helen (Jesse) Smith; sister, Maxine Stephens; grandchildren, Lawrence Shane (Amanda) Smith and Sherri Dawn (Jim) Horrell; great-grandchildren, Colleen Daniel Hawkins, Bri- anna Christine Cleveland, Adam Scott Petroff, Jessica Lawrence Waterman, Aislinn Horrell, Lucy Horrell, and Nate Horrell; great-great- grandchildren, Liam Matthew Goddard and Ian Christopher Goddard; honorary grand child, Amber Nichole Isbell; extended family, Peggy Sheree (Daniel) Fleming, Wanda Ober; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends also sur vive.
