Based on the novel “My Love, My Love” by Rosa Guy, the show told the story of peasant girl Ti Moune, a boy named Dan iel, and a union that prej udice forbids. Directed by Jacob Sapp with musical direc tion led by Beth Masen- gale, stage management was led by Sarah Chap man with Kimmie Ahrens over choreography. Cast members in cluded Dinah Cox (Little Ti Moune), Kiana Carter (Ti Moune), AJ Nickerson (Daniel), Elisa Sanchez (Mama Euralie), Ian McLane (Tonton Julian), Ronnie Farmer (Papa Ge), Carrie Brown (Asaka), Jo- siah Jones (Agwe), Paige Campbell (Erzulie), Den- nasia Bellamy (Andrea), and Imad Ad-Deen Ibn Mohammad As-Salafi (Armand). Peasants/Grands Hommes were played by Abby Stitcher, Jadyn Mar tin, Alora Tyssen, Kiera Dynn, Dakota Martin, Ruby Walden, Darrell Farley, and Sy Hutchens. Crew members in cluded Stage Manager Sarah Chapman, stage as sistants Patrick Weaver and Ruby Walden, Dance Captain Dennasia Bel lamy, and costume assis tant Stephanie Nipp. Scenic and lighting de sign were organized by Jacob Sapp, costume, prop, and graphic designs, as well as projections, were led by Savannah Sapp, lights were run by George Flowers, and sound was run by Beth Massengale. Courtesy ofT-U Schools Morning Star Lodge, Khira Shrine Club Donate $3,500 to U-L Band Members of Morning Star Lodge 27 and Khira Shrine Club presented Thomaston-Upson School System Superin tendent Dr. Larry Derico with a $3,500 check for the Upson-Lee High School Marching Knights band. Each fall, members of the Morning Star Lodge 27 and Khira Shrine Club oversee all concession stand operations for the U-L Knights football games at Matthews Field. In addition to providing football fans with classic stadium concessions, they donate a portion of profits each season to the ULHS Marching Knights band. Officials from the school system, ULHS, and the ULHS band gave thanks to the groups for their support and encour ages everyone to continue purchasing concessions at football games. UPSON-LEE FAMILY ENGAGEMENT DISTRICT: April 24: Midterm ULHS: April 30: NJROTC Awards, 6 p.m. @ ULFAC ULPS: April 29-30: Book Fair Upson Farm Bureau Offering $1,000 Scholarship To all graduating seniors preparing to start college, Upson County Farm Bureau is offering a scholarship open to all incoming freshman, and although the priority is an agriculture field or consumer education field, it is open to all ma jors. The $1,000 scholarship is sponsored by the Upson County Farm Bureau Board, Women’s Committee, and Young Farmer’s Committee. Interested applicants can contact Judy Warren at the UCFB office by calling 706-648- 6668. All applications must be submitted no later than Wednesday, May 1. High School Student Designs Festival Shirts This year's T-shirts for the annual Thomas- ton Art & Soul Fest were designed by Upson-Lee High School graphic design student Kenya Montfort. Students Samuel Dean, Stephanie Nipp, Markenzie Banks, Kingston Allen, and Kamiya Batiste worked last week to produce the shirts for the festival kickoff.
