The Tax Equalization Board hears taxpayer’s appeals from assessments and denials of homestead exemptions in the taxation of real property. To be a member of the board a person must: A. Be qualified to serve as a Grand Juror B. Be a high school graduate C. Own real property in Upson County D. Complete a 40-hour course of instruction within the first year of service on the board along with annual updates. E. Not be a member of the governing authority of Upson County, mu nicipality, or consolidated government, member of the board of edu cation, member or employee of the county board of tax assessors The term of service varies, depending upon whether the appointment is to an unexpired term or full term. JUVENILE COURT JUDGE Presiding Associate Judge of Juvenile Court of Griffin Judicial Circuit will expire in July 2024. All applicants interested in appointment or re appointment as the Presiding Associate Judge for Juvenile Court shall submit a letter of appli cation to the Honorable W.
